Welcome to the Homepage of the Federation Starship USS CURIE (NCC-830001). The USS CURIE is a Magellen Class science vessel. It utilises the recently developed Advanced Subspace Sensors Platform (ASSP), MK II, an enhanced scanning and mapping sensor array.

The USS CURIE is part of Cocoon Fleet. The Cocoon Fleet is controlled from Starbase Omega, which is located at the entrance to the the Cocoon sectors near Bajor. The mostly unexplored Cocoon is a very important location in the Alpha quadrant. More information on The Cocoon is available from the Holoworld fleet web pages.

The USS CURIE works in one of the most remote areas thus far reached by Starfleet vessels, the area around DS 101 and the Amgine Sector. There are wonderful opportunities for a vessel of exploration such as the CURIE in such an unexplored area of the Cocoon.

Historical note: The USS Curie, NCC-66004 (which was a Feynman class vessel with a DELPHI Array) was destroyed on star date 90930.2028 by the Nebula Dwellers while charting a small section of the nebula closest to DS 101 in the Amgine sector. Curie NCC-66004-A damaged beyond repair on the far end of the Cocoon by the Tallinids. The current USS Curie is NCC-830001.
