Isaac Greusel

A native of New York, Isaac was working as a laborer in the little town of Springwells in the summer of 1862. He answered his country's call and enlisted in Company E on August 12, 1862 at Detroit. He was 18 years old He mustered into service the next day.

Not very much is known about Isaac's service. He was promoted to Corporal, and then later to Sergeant. He was Transferred to Company D on April 18, 1865. He mustered out with the Regiment at Detroit on June 30, 1865.

He attended the Dedication of the 24th Michigan's Monument at "Michigan Day at Gettysburg" , June 12th-14th, 1889.
