A Root

a root...

Seeking, searching, longing
being, existing
creating itself, being created
an extension, an action in reaction to
the interaction of precedents and forces
obtaining, transferring, transforming nutrients
into new trees of one sort or another
like a wave, or
a medium for a wave of reactions;
for a wave of consciousness;
for a stream of consciousness...

a living root...
So precarious yet so absolutely basic
so set, so established, so designed
so ordered, as if ordained
so predictable, yet so complicated
so right, so natural,
so unaffected in its effect
so harmonious...
subjugating, yet
subject to its environment;
objecting to resistance, yet
object to its identity and yet again: forming, formulating that identity;
action upon reaction, reciprocal relationships
(aware, or not?)

Primal forces, subordinate forces
strong forces, weak forces
conscious forces, resultant forces
original forces
one
subatomic, supra-rational moment,
superlatives fall away as we approach the limit of Its
infinitesimally obscure domain...
venting, inventing depositing
passage,
vessels of motion, emotion;
to grow and thrive
knowing, known, truthfully and truly
alive, a life
life... respire, resurge
through space, in time
for joy
a root
