Web Mage's Tutorials Needs Help

My goal is to make my tutorial section a useful resource center for website developers and those just looking to expand their knowledge. Right now the biggest problem is finding the time to write all of the tutorials that I want to. So for the first time ever, I am going to let others help me out.

Here's the Deal:
I can NOT afford to pay anyone if they decide to help out. You probably have more money in your pocket than I do. I am not even making any money for this. I am just doing this to (1) Keep my knowledge curve growing and (2) to be a nice guy. If you notice I am here at GeoCities, land of free home pages. I am not making money off of these advertisements you see, GeoCities is.

So what can you get from helping me out?

I guess that is up to you. If you enjoy helping out others and you do have an extensive bit of knowledge of one of the topics to the left then well join the team. Maybe if you write a good tutorial the readers here will give you the praise you deserve. Maybe this will give you something to talk about at your next job interview. And maybe like me, this will push you to learn more about something that definitely has a future. They say sales on the Internet was over $4 billion in 1998, and they expect it to be over $40 billion in 2002. That is a big jump! So why not get a head start in learning as much as possible about this medium we call the Internet. Use the skills learned here to make money for you in the future.

Interested? ...If so, read on.

What I Need:
I especially need some tutorials in the areas listed to the left, but if you feel you can provide your expertise in other areas not listed there like XML, C, C++, Operating Systems, browsers ...anything Information Technology related than drop me line and let me know. It can even be a specialized topic (e.g. onMouseOvers in JavaScript). But before you do, let me go over the rules.

The Rules to Submitting a Tutorial Here:

  1. I need an e-mail from you first
    • Tell me what you would like to write a tutorial on (before sending it)
    • You must have an e-mail address that works. You can get a free e-mail address anywhere now a days. If you need one, try Hotmail or Yahoo. They are the most popular and most likely to stay around.
  2. Must conform to my standards
    • I am trying to keep a uniform look here. Now even though most my pages are in black background I would like the tutorials to be written with a white background. It will be easier on people's eyes. They can print it easier if they need to, and it will be a lot easier to show examples and such. Also I am using type font Arial. I will use a font size one step higher than this, again it should be easier on the eyes.
    • The tutorial must be as clear and concise as possible.
    • It must provide information that others will find useful.
    • I want the tutorial edited and ready to go so that I can add it to my template (i.e. proof read your submittal 1st). And do not worry about adding my navigational buttons, headers or such.
    • I have the right to accept or reject any tutorial. Do not get discouraged if I do, I have high ideals. But this is why I have you e-mail me first. We can talk about what you want to write before you do so you will not waste any time writing a tutorial I already have or do not need.
  3. By sending/giving me your tutorial/s and related files you are giving me full ownership
    • This is to make my life easier
    • This also gives me the right to edit it, if it needs it. But don't expect me to do too much editing because that would mean I would have a lot of free time (not likely). But I will need to edit it so it has the same visual appearance as the other tutorials and I will look for mistakes.
    • But I am reasonable, so if you want to edit a tutorial you wrote or have it removed I will most likely say yes.
  4. Can't think of anymore. :) This may look like a lot, but most of this is just explanation as to why I need these rules. It really is only 3 rules!
