Living at the End of Time . . . |
The Antediluvian World . . . |
. . . we now join in the dance at the End of Time. |
Beginning the segue from first to second dance. |
Life in general |
The World was a very different place during the "days of Jared" around 3,040 B.C.E. in the pre-flood world. People lived much longer than today and it was not unusual to start having children in the 2nd century of life. The start of the 5th century for Noah and his wife, Emzara (aka Na'amah) whose love for each other was supposedly very great by any standard. |
Pregnancies & Health |
Pregnancies were also a very different matter, with the full-term pregnancy lasting anywhere from 1 to 4 days in gestation. The infant would even then, be born with such vitality that they would turn and cut their own umbilical cords. Also, although very unusual, they could sometimes walk or talk at birth. At Noah's birth (see link, The Book of Enoch - Chapter 106) it was said he could both walk and talk and with his eyes glowing so brightly that the room was fully illuminated. This caused Lamech, his father to question Noah's parentage for that of one of the Watchers. However, Noah's grandfather Enoch quickly clarified that he, Lamech was the Father. |
Geography |
The world a comfortable temperature with no great oceans, except the recorded "river ocean" that was probably the early Atlantic ocean, although considerably smaller, it allowed foot traffic from most parts of the world, comfortably. There were no donkeys but there were asses, many internet sites, books, etc., (most in my links pages) record many animals resembling Triceratops, etc., still in existence and being used by the humans of the time for beasts of burden. Even without the great knowledge of the Watchers and Grigori, their magic and other powers, the humans of this time had long years with which to gather knowledge. |
Religion |
According to the Bible, in the days of Enoch (Cain's son and of the 3rd generation) men "began to call on the name of the Lord." However, a thorough search of the early Hebrew texts reveals a very different matter. It seems that instead of calling on the Lord, they began to call themselves "the Lord." Something very different, indeed. So this was the beginning of apostasy on a large scale, making men "god(s)" or equal to El (YHWH - JHVH - Adonai, etc.). |
Much more will be added later . . . |
Much (most) of this information was taken from Oral Tradition, the Midrash(es), books and sacred texts, etc. It is not "written in stone." |
