Parentage and Historical Legacy

Bar

Candy was a part of the very first gargoyle clan ever to step talon on the face of the earth. Although her parents had no names, Candy resembles her mother very closely. Before light was created, her clan existed and turned to stone on the very first dawning of the sun.

The original clan, which was very large, separated into smaller groups later to spread their species to the four corners of the globe. Candy decided to stay with the original clan right where they were. When she was 36, she decided to head out on her own in an attempt to be independant, but regretted it when she returned two years later to find her entire clan missing. She spent one more year alone before she met up with Deathe, one of the first demon leaders that walked the face of the earth. It is from him that she acquired the Crimson Fury Stone.

At first, the gargoyle was delighted that she was allowed to remain active for 24 hours a day, use the magical talents gained from wearing the stone, and her appsrent immortality, but was also cursed at the same time: she lost the ability to disguise herself, and always finds herself telling people of her exact nature, even when she wants to disguise it. In addition, Candy must always keep her anger in check, lest the power of the Crimson Fury Stone take control, in which case she is known to have destroyed entire city blocks. Needless to say, the relationship between the gargoyle and the demon soured rather quickly.

Over the centuries the lone gargoyle has traveled the world many times over, watching the progression and evolution of her species. Candy personally witnessed the Extermination of 102 AD and the decline of gargoyle clans as time marched on. She knows of nearly every group of her race in existance and used to make it a point to check on them from time to time. However, she still remains a solitary creature, making few close friends despite her friendly nature, probably because many gargoyles see the Crimson Fury Stone and assume the worst of her, another side affect of the magical item. She spent most of the past three centuries completely alone, longing for friendship.

Current Sketch

The world's oldest living gargoyle still spends her time gliding around the globe under the cover of darkness, despite her ability to remain active during the day. She is considering trying to get rid of the Crimson Fury Stone, but suspects that may not be as easy as it seems.
