Welcome to my Sailor Mars Shrine

I hope that you enjoy this tribute to my favorite scout! Here are the stats, as well as some nifty pics, so ENJOY!!

American Name: Raye Hino
Japanese Name: Hino Rei * Rei-chan
Birthday: April 17,1977
Favorite Colors: Red, Black, and Purple
Pets: Two ravens - Phobos and Deimos - named for the two moons of the planet mars
Strengths: Spiritual leader of the Sailor Senshi, dedicated and loyal, keen sense of impending danger or evil
Weaknesses: Temperamental, especially when annoyed by whining crybabies! Rei's best friend and yet biggest annoyance within the scouts is definitely Usagi, whom Rei even slaps once or twice for her whining and crying. Rei is sometimes jealous of Usagi for her relationship with Tuxedo Mask / Mamoru-san, but as a spiritualist she understands that they are destined to be soul-mates and I believe respects Usagi more because of this.

I think my second favorite character, Sailor Jupiter, described Rei-chan and Usagi-chan's friendship best in "Jupiter Comes Thundering In" when she said: "You guys are good friends, it really shows... (interrupted by Raye and Serena fighting)... you'd almost think you were sisters or something!"
Future Plans / Dreams: to become high priestess of her Grandpa's temple, to be a singer/songwriter, and to someday be a wonderful wife to her future soul-mate

Sailor Mars' Special Powers

Mars Power, Make-up! / Mars Power! Rei-chan / Raye says this phrase to transform into the BEAUTIFUL Sailor Soldier, Sailor Mars. In the Japanese Sailor Moon R season, this phrase changes to Mars Star Power, Make-up!
Akuryou Taisan! Rei can use this attack whether she has transformed into Sailor Mars or not. She hits an enemy with a small scroll of paper inscribed with a phrase loosely translated as "Evil Be Gone!" to knock them unconscious or remove an evil spell or demonic possession from their body.
Fire Soul / Mars Fire Ignite Sailor Mars uses this power to throw flames at an enemy. This attack works especially well when combined with Sailor Mercury's Sabao Spray or Shining Aqua Illusion.
Burning Mandala When Sailor Mars uses this attack, a swirl of burning hot disks surround the enemy and can burn it up or chop it to bits like Sailor Moon's tiara. This attack is drawn VERY beautifully!
