The Elerian race is an offshoot of the Kobolian race of humans. The theory is that the Elerians are the result of an early colonization attempt from the planet of Kobol. The Elerians look human in all aspects, major differences are hair color... most Elerians have white hair and white eyes... and the ability to speak telepathically with one another. The Elerians are a favored race within the Circassian Empire and few leave the planet. The total population of Eleria is 8.9 billion, with an additional 4.6 billion residing on Eleria's moon of Hara. Eleria is located deep within Circassian territory.
The Elerian race is an extremely warlike one. Honour and heroic behavior in battle are two favored conditions for an Elerian warrior. One characteristic distinguishes Eleria from any planet in the galaxy though, only females are allowed to rule the planet and only females are allowed to fight. The reason for female domination of the planet is simple, there are very few male Elerians. A virus nearly wiped out the entire male population nearly 200 yahren ago. Today, the few males on the planet are protected dearly.
The Elerians have contributed much to the Circassian war machine. The Elerian battlecruiser is the latest ship on the war front. Elerian fighters are used for ground support throughout the Empire.
