0 - Mankind founded on Kobol.

3500 - Twelve Colonies settled by various colony ships evacuating the homeworld of Kobol.

3500-5000 - "Dark" Ages of the colonies... fuedalism and dictatorships florish where democracy once stood. Many persons live sustenance existances and many die of serious plagues that inflict the colonies.

5100 - First Planet War on Caprica, half of the population is decimated.

5155 - Sagitara attacked by an unknown enemy. Fears of "alien" invasions plague the planet, scientific research is tripled.

5269 - Space travel reinvented on Caprica. First woman orbits Caprica.

5284 - First lunar landing on moon of Caprica. Sagitara and Virgo also send their first persons into space.

5287 - First interplanetary satellites record data from planet Piscera. Capricans discover human life outside of their world. Later probes validate this discovery and find eleven worlds among three star systems inhabited. Initial shock sets space travel back several yahren.

5288-94 - Minor wars on Caprica with two forces opposing each other. The Circassian League wants to attack and conquer the other inhabited planets, the Caprican Movement wants to approach and become allies with the neighboring planets.

5295 - The Circassian League, after suffering heavy losses, develops colony ships to flee the planet. Altogether, 4 million Circassian people leave Caprica in 9 colony ships.

5296 - Contact is lost with the Circassian colony ships, presumed lost or dead.

5301 - Capricans and Sagitarans initiate "first contact".

INTERIM PERIOD

All planets begin to exchange information and technology. Major information revolution begins with ideas and thoughts flowing through the twelve colonies. Talk begins of Colonial Unification.

5598 - First Colonial free trade zones set up with Virgo, Caprica and Sagitara becoming a major zone called V.C.S.

5602 - V.C.S. becomes an alliance, monetary union achieved, border stations closed between the three planets, common language invented called Colonial Common.

5677 - V.C.S. becomes the Unified Colonies government, Caprica, Virgo, Sagitara, Taura, Aquaria, and Piscera are the members.

5770 - Supralight is developed by scientists at Sagitara Science Academy. Deep space exploration begins.

5788 - Quorom of the Twelve founded... all remaining colonies link to the Unified Colonies government, colonial unification finally complete.

5950 - Cybernetic Rebellion, Colonial Code passed to limit artificial intelligence.

6000-6200 Colonial "Golden Age". The height of literature, art and culture in the colonies, most colonies enjoying raised standard of living and more free time. The Colonial fleet explores and maps thousands of new star systems and 50 colonies are established.

6293 - GREAT CYLON WAR

Great Cylon war erupts when the Colonial forces come to the aid of their Hisaris friends.

6445 - Hisari Nation dead, Colonial losses began to swell to the millions as the colony planets of Isis, Lora and Tulan III are destroyed by the Cylons.

6646 - Cylon Empire controls a major portion of the sector that the colonies are in.... Colonial losses reach a staggering 45 million since the war began with the planets Lorraine, Argo and Persues lost to the Cylons.

6745 - Colonial Fleet begins to redesign ships, weapons and training facilities to cope with Cylon attacks. Massive amounts of cubits spent on military spending.

6812 - First Battlestar, Columbia, built.

6846 - Battlestar Galactica commissioned.

7015 - First Battlestar, Olympia, destroyed.

7245 - Colonial poccessions amount to the 12 original Colonies, plus 5 "outer" planets... total population is 195 billion.

7322 - Cylon attack on Umbria, Caprica..... loss of life in the thousands. Only 7 Battlestars remain : Columbia, Pegasus, Galactica, Acropolis, Pacifica, Atlantia, Rycon.

7349-50 - The battle of Jol'Trata, Battlestar Pegasus seriously damaged.

7352 - Battlestar Galactica destroys Cylon outpost on Naytar.

7359 - Battle of Molecay, Fifth fleet lost.

7360 PEACE CONFERENCE FAILS...HOLOCAUST OCCURS

7360-62 - Battlestar Galactica leaves over 20 billion humans to fend for themselves. Battlestar Athenia enters orbit over Caprica in time to save the colonies from an invasion force, Battlestar Pacifica taken into drydock for major repairs... all other Battlestars destroyed.

7365 - Tina Atrakis elected President for an unheard of 10 yahren term, Colonies begin to rebuild. New weapons and ships explode into the scene with major advances in shielding and laser technology. United Planets formed.

7368 - Refugees from the defunct Delphian Empire ask for asylum, only 200,000 survive from an empire once containing 2 billion Delphians.

7370-75 - Dozens of planets are recovered from Cylon Empire, millions of refugees pour into the United Colonies from surrounding empires :

20 planets recovered from Cylon territory.... Cylons ask for peace, a neutral zone set up between the United Planets and Cylon Empire.

8 Battlestars now commissioned : Athenia, Pacifica, Excelsia, Olympia, Titania, Pegasus, Prometheus, Spartica.

2 Gunstars commissioned : Caprica, Freedom.

7379 - First Star Fortress built in orbit around Caprica, dozens more planned for various planets and for guarding the neutral zone.
