News and updates
As many of you know, I've been a busy little
girl over the past few months. I put up my professional site.
Go check it out. http://katrina.hypermart.net/
There are some great new e-cards and free graphics there, along with some
very spiffy web effects, if I do say so myself. Just have your Netscape
ready because Trish doesn't take American Express and Explorer don't do
layers.
This month, I've added a webring to the menu. Go check it out here. The market list has been a big success
and I would like to thank everyone who sent me updates and new listings.
You've been a tremendous help. There are some new updates in this
month's listing. I really would like to keep this list current.
If you are an editor or publisher and would like to be included, or if
you are a writer and have had a particularly good or bad experience with
one of these markets, EMAIL
ME.
For those of you who aren't in the circle,
you'll be interested to know that I helped Brett Savory move the Chiaroscuro
site to Gothic Net this month. Go check if out at hhttp://www.gothic.net/chiaroscuro/
Phil Nutman's site moved over there too, so you can take a gander at
that. Anyone who hasn't read his story, "Showdown at the Hong Kong
Bar-b-que and Grill" should run, not walk, to do that. It's
a great story.
Aside from that, I've completed the Dark Regions
website. It's open and ready for viewing at
http://darkregions.hypermart.net/
I'm hard at work on Lisa Snelling's site now. I'll let you in on
that little gem as soon as it's done.
As if that weren't enough, I managed to actually
SELL some of the stuff I've been writing. For those of you who caught
"Ever and Always" at Twilight Showcase, thanks for making my counter
digits go way up. *grin* Those who didn't....SHAME ON YOU!
I also have a story in the upcoming Chiaroscuro anthology and one in Lover's
Knot Magazine. One of my stories, "Lazy Hazy" is also under consideration
at Francis Ford Coppola's Zoetrope Magazine. Yay me!
To top it all off, my best writing partner, David Niall Wilson, and I have
a screen play in the hands of an agent now. I'm VERY excited about
that. He just sold another script so at least one of us knows what
we're doing here.
On the home front, we finally broke down and
got a kitten for the kids this week. She's a little abandoned kitty
that I found at a local vets. She's black with white socks and bib
and the sweetest little thing you ever saw. But we're having trouble
naming her. I opted for Purrsia, Billy liked Purringles and
Stephie went for Ribbon. Please, if you have anything more creative
or interesting than that, send it in. I'm getting desperate here.
Having said all that, I can let you go.
But not before I put out a blatant bit of self-promotion. I'm looking
for graphics and web design work, folks. And I'm looking to unload
some of these manuscripts that have been sitting idle since I started all
these updates. So if you can help, please do. Go! Find
me work! Buy my stories! Heck, just gimme the cash, k?
Every day is a gift...why do you think they call it the present?
