The original club was formed by Neil Safi, the world famous acrobat and spy, and Mike Sadler, the internationally renowned millionaire playboy.
The Kaferian Apple Club committee has now grown to include John Kneale, Jeni Kennedy, Paula Lemming, Sarah Ross, and Gary Conaway.
Mr Safi states: "There are lots of excellent clubs out there in Star Trek fandom, but not one, we felt, that dealt truly with the Trek obsessed fruit/vegetable fancier."

The Kaferian Apple Club USA was founded in summer 1997, at the astonishment and total surprise of KAC HQ. They couldn't believe that someone would actually want to further the KAC cause.
After careful and diligent diliberation, all possible reasons to determine the sanity of another application exhausted, membership was granted, and rank of captain awarded, to the entity known as the "Bearded Melon" in the Kaferian Apple Club, now known as KAC HQ.
Permission and authority was officially licensed to Captain Gahriy Melon, endowing KAC USA with all rights and priviledges, to become the official USA liason of the ever expanding Kaferian Apple Club.
Captain Gahriy Melon is a Terran, native to Kaferia Prime. He is the only authorized licensed exporter/importer of Kaferian apples to this sector of Quadrant Alpha. Captain Melon owns and operates an export company officially licensed by the Kaferian government.
Interstellar shipping being the lucrative business it is, Captain Melon has recently scrapped his old freighter, "The Tilantic", for "The Starlactic", a new, redesigned and modern starship similar to an Intrepid class Starfleet starship. (Video stills may be available in the future.)
