The Black Cat

It was the summer of 96 , and i had been living in the same house for about 6 years.

I was swining on the swings in my back yard, when i heard this sound. Like a cat that had been hurt. I tried to find it and i couldn't, the cat had been hiding or something. I went around the fence to see if it was in the lane way next to my house. When i got there , there was a beautiful black cat that had been walking around for days (or as the looks of it ). I picked up the cat and brung him to my parents. Since i was supposed to have allergies towards cats, my parents said that i could only take care of it , not actually keep it. The rules were i wasn't aloud to take him in the house and thats about it. Over the summer, I bought cat food for the cat and fed it every day, and my family and i grew attached to the cat. It the end of the summer and i had to go to my aunts for a couple of days, it began to get cold and very windy so i was worried about my little cat. I left that night hoping everything would be alright . When i got back 2 days after the cat was gone i had left on a Saturday and I arrived home on a Monday. The cat never returned.

It was one year after the summer of 97 and I was sleeping on a Saturday night, my room had been overlooking the lane where i found the cat that day. I was sound asleep when i heard a faint cry from a cat, then after that a hiss there was the sound of two cats fighting; as i looked around my room i could see the shadows of cats all around. I opened my door and everything stopped. This had carried on for the next 8 Saturdays, I couldn't explain it. I looked outside my bedroom window but nothing was there. I had no stuff animals of cats, so nothing could explain the shadows in my room. The only thing i could think of was that the cat that i once cared for was haunting me for leaving her that one day. Why was this happening? One night i couldn't take it anymore and I screamed "please it wasn't my fault " and with one final cry of desperation the cat stopped, it was all over. I never heard that cry again , and hopefully I never will!
