Name: Rick Hunter

Age: 19 (at beginning of Macross series, 40 at end of Sentinels)

Brief History: As a child, Rick was a stunt pilot in an air circus. But, while on Macross Island, the alien race known as the Zentraedi attacked, forcing the SDF-1, Earth's main defense ship, the operate a hyperspace fold operation. It failed. Rick, along with fifty thousand inhabitants of Macross Island, fould themselves on the far side of Pluto. He was caught in a deep emotional slum because his "girlfriend" Lynn Minmei paid little attention to him. His friend Roy Fokker convinced him into joining the RDF (Robotech Defense Force). He does and eventually fills the place of Roy Fokker after Roy dies.

Several years after that, the Pioneer Mission launched and Rick found himself as the commander of that mission along witht he REF(Robotech Expeditionary Force). Eventually, at the age of forty, he returns to the thrice ravaged Earth.
