Part Two
Joe looked up at the giants in front of him. One of these machines was the size of a ten story building and when it towered in front of you, you were as good as dead. It was almost impossible to believe that man had created such monster. It almost seemed like a god creation. Joe shook his head once more trying to count them. No use there were hundredths of them all lined up against the wall standing there motionless. He herd footsteps behind him. "Yo Joe what ya lookin at ?"
"Man these Sentinels give me creeps. They seem so dangerous."
"Dangerous ? Heh you gotta be jokin. The bloody thing is made to kill the living crap outa muties. It wont touch a innocent human."
"Yeah then what about the whole Onslaught thing."
"Hey that was different. The freaken mutie changed their programming."
"Yeah I know but still what if someone takes control of them again."
"Sessh you worry too much. We're just guards we don't think." Joe glanced at his friend who was clearly making fun of him."
"Whatever. C'mon lets go."
"You know that when they wake up their eyes begin to glow red ?"
"Shut up you're not scaring me." said Joe while they walked down the platform. They were to far away to see dozen of red lights glow.

alarm clock was annoying. At first she'd hoped it would stop and go away and let her sleep. After ten minutes she found that it wasn't going to stop. Slowly she raised her head and looked at the time with her bloodshot eyes. ^ 9.30^ she thought. ^Who was the idiot that set that clock. Oh yeah me^ she slowly got up from the bed and swayed. She grabbed hold of her bed and rubbed her eyes. ^Man I wish I didn't drink so much yesterday^ she looked down at herself and wondered why she felt so cold. ^Oh mah what did I do last night ?^ She looked around and found her night shirt lying in the corner. ^Oh it was hot in the night^ she remembered. She put her shirt on and opened the big window. The fresh spring air entered her lungs. She smiled and looked around. Suddenly she heard a loud noise striking like a cannonball. Moments later a boy with short blonde hair surrounded by a aura of energy speeded past her ten meters up in the air. He waved his hand and shouted at her.
Hello Rogue miss."
"Hi Sam." she said with a smile then he was gone.
She looked down to see what the rest was doing. She saw Bobby, Hank, Jean and Logan playing football on the lawn. She could see Bishop far away checking the security systems. She closed the window and stepped into the bathroom. She took of her shirt and stepped into the shower. As hot water ran down her chest she leaned back on the wall and sat down. She stared off at the wall, thinking. What was she going to do ? Could she trust Remy or should she just forget about him and get on with her life. Deep down inside she loved him. But in her life she had been used so many times, so many people around her have turned out to be liars that she was afraid of Remy hurting her with the truth. What has he done ? She had his memories but it was all to foggy. She could see some things but couldn't work out what exactly they were. Jean had offered looking into her mind and helping her remember but she didn't agree. She had enough people playing with her head. She just wished Remy would tell her. She wasn't sure if she could handle the truth but she wanted to know. Would she ever..... ?
He parked the bike on the street. As he took off his helmet he hissed. His face was bruised from the fight last night. He brushed his shoulder long hair back and tucked it behind his ears. He got off the bike and entered the shop. At the very first instant he was amazed at the view of hundredths of jewels in front of him. His thief instinct told him to react and steal something but he pulled himself together and remembered his purpose. There were a few people around the shop looking at him. The rich people couldn't stand a view of a man in ripped jeans, martens shoes a black t-shirt and long hair. Ignoring them Remy walked around the shop. He didn't know what he was looking for. Something big, something beautiful. When he saw it his breath stopped. It was sitting on a big blue pillow in front of him. The ring had one big piece of diamond in the middle and it was surrounded by few smaller ones. Remy couldn't work out what exactly they were, they weren't diamonds for sure. From the first moment he knew this was it. His hands touched the glass and he leaned over the counter his eyes fixed on the ring. He sensed someone walking up to him.
"Um, sir how can I help you ?" asked a female voice above him.
Remy looked up to see a young woman standing shyly behind the counter her hands on the glass in front of him. "Yes I like to see dat ring."
The woman looked again at Remy unsure if she should show something so expensive to someone who seemed to be a bum but she opened the glass and took out the ring. Remy took it in his hands. His fingers played with it for a while and he decided he would take it. "I'll take it."
"Sir that's five thousand dollars." she said raising her eyebrow
"I can read."
"Yes sir of course." she said blushing. "Will that be cash or credit card ?"
"Credit card." said Remy as he handed her his visa. He was glad his family was rich, at lest he never needed to worry about money. He took the wrapped ring and walked out of the store slowly laughing in spirit at the customers staring at him.
Joseph looked at his creation with pride. It was a big glass container about seven feet tall with many tubes going in and out of it. It was connected to the main computer which was transferring data to the machine. He wasn't sure if it had a name but he was quite proud of what it was. It represented all his knowledge in genetics and technology. Not that he remembered having any but it just came to him. He was ready for the transformation. He wasn't sure if it was going to work. All he knew he based what he could remember. According to his calculations the machine would pump the gen. into his blood which would eventually become a part of his DNA. Or so he hoped. He was going to find out today. No one knew about his experiment. Telling someone would just result in more and more questions and he would be forbidden it. He just hoped everything would turn out right and that he would come out alive. Slowly he stepped up to the container. He hesitated a while before going in. ^Maybe this isn't the greatest idea he thought. He quickly forgot that ^It's Rogue's birthday tomorrow I'll give her the best present no matter what it takes^ lifted up with that thought he entered the tube. The door closed and a oxygen mask appeared in front of his face. He put it on and inhaled the gas. His hand lighted up and few keys on the computer moved starting the process. The tank was filled with water in a matter of few seconds. Joseph thought a little bit more before taking the final step. The process would take around ten minutes. Once it started it couldn't be stopped. Without thinking much more he started the machine. Immediately two tubes raised from the bottom. One stuck to his arm another to his chest. They both had sharp needles on the end which pierced Joseph's skin in an instant. Under the mask he screamed. His mind told him to stop and get out of there but his will kept him in the place. The drug that he added to his oxygen supply started working and suddenly he didn't feel pain anymore. Blackness filled his eyes and his mind switched off. Last thing he remembered was the needles piercing their way through his skin.
He didn't know how long he'd been unconscious. It might have been hours maybe just few minutes. As far as he knew the experiment was finished. His head felt like a bomb about to explode. At his command the machine stopped and all water was pumped away. The door dropped open and Joseph slowly walked outside. He swayed but kept walking. Holding his stomach in pain he walked to a chair. When he was right next to it his legs swayed. He screamed in pain as fire alighted inside him. He fell to the ground his hand hitting the table and destroying the computer. Sparks flew everywhere as Joseph hit the ground. He felt fire burning his insides. He screamed once more before passing out.
