They say that children are our future. That dammed that we do but our children will rule the world one day. And that is true. Most fear the time when what is considered rebellious youth will take over the planet. They think that this so called Generation X is nothing but laziness and bad example. Most adults are too short sighted to see Generation X as something that will indeed work out. They will not admit it but they are jealous. When they were in our age they never got a normal life. Drugs were just coming in and everyone was throwing their life away. The Vietnam war changed their life forever never making them feel safe. From those times came the world we have now. Unemployment, divorce, racism. Yes adults will never admit it but it's them that made this world the spooky, dark place it is. The only hope lies in the next generation. We hope that Generation X can learn from mistakes of their parents and make the world something better. This is why Gen. X was formed. In hope that together a group of teenagers can make a difference. Can they ? Hang around and see...

Somewhere Sometime Someone

"Did I ever mention how much I love NY in Christmas ?" asked Jubilee.

"No I guess that hundredth times don't count." answered Paige sarcastically.

"Aw c'mon Paige it's Christmas, New Year in two days and you have to ruin the fun for the whole group."

"Um Jubilee what fun are you talking about ?"

Not for the first time Jubilee turned around to see four teenagers: Angelo, Elizabeth, Jono and Everett walking behind them dragging their feet their eyes looking into the ground. "Hey guys ! Cheer up will ya ? You look like you just got all of your presents taken away." Everett looked up.

"Jubes we're not in a mood to party right now. You know why."

"I do ? Why really I don't..." Jubilee just remembered. Today was a month since M died. That day was their greatest lost. Not only did her own brother, Emplate kill her but also Penance had left the team when they found out about her true identity. It seemed like ages ago. Yet it was only a month. Hard to believe. In that time the team had gotten a new member, Elizabeth who Jubilee had become friends with. She was a good person Jubilee had liked her from the start. She had quite a great power. When she would learn how to control it she would be the most powerful member of them team. Yet she was still a normal person. She came to the school because she wanted to get away from her life which had fallen apart out of the sudden. Elizabeth, or Exude as Jubilee named her for fun had told Jubilee about how she found out her best friend cheated on her with her own boyfriend and how the manifestation of her power only made the situation worse. But Jubilee hoped that Elizabeth would stay for longer. The team needed someone new to keep the team going since everyone was down for no reason. Well, it didn't work. Elizabeth was not in a good mood lately either. Maybe she missed home maybe she thought about her boyfriend Kyle. She didn't want to tell Jubilee. ^Man we are gonna die of boredom if we don't do something fun. Where is Ms. Frost and Mr. Cassidy ? They said they would only go for a minute.^

Jubilee heard Banshee's voice behind her. "Sorry for taking so long Emma found some interesting stuff to buy. What did ya do ?"

"Well Mr. Cassidy does kicking snow around count ?" Sean looked at her and then at the rest of them team who was standing around doing nothing, staring off to space and his smile disappeared.

"Yuir right Jubilee what is wrong with them ?"

"I don't know really it seems as if the sky fell on their heads."

Sean smiled a little and thought for a while. "What could we do ?...." suddenly an idea came to his head. "Let's go..."

"Huh ? What are we doing ??

"You'll see Jubilee."

Elsewhere

The man named Bastion looked at his prisoner again. Prof. Charles Xavier sat on his bed watching national news. ^This man is as hard as a rock. Nothing can brake him. I've tired everything. What is he hiding ? I just know that it's something to do with the X-Men but I cant think of a reasonable conection.^ He turned around from the glass knowing Xavier was watching him all the time. Slowly he walked down the stairs into a large room. Computers were lined up on both of the walls, with people sitting behind them typing away busily. Bastion smiled. He couldn't get anything out of Xavier then he would have to start doing things of his own. The government was already getting curious. They have put a lot of money into Operation Zero Tolerance and they were not happy with the results so far. Not that Bastion really cared for the government at all but he needed the funds. His plan was all ready and set to go. A voice brought him back to reality.

"Sir should we start now ?"

"Yes I think we are ready. Remember that we want Prime Sentinels to make as much noise as possible. The X-Men must hear it."

"Yes sir, I'll get right on to it."

"Good, now move we don't have much time."

^Soon, soon the dream will come true.^

Later

"Mr. Cassidy do you honestly think that showing them more of NY in Christmas is gonna cheer them up ?" Jubilee almost shouted.

"O'course lass there's nothin better than seeing the trees and the snow."

"Um Mr. Cassidy I don't think it's working."

Sean looked back at his students. They were all dragging their feet behind not really caring for anything. The grin disappeared from his face. He walked up to them sat them down on a bench. He looked at them. "What is wrong everyone ?"

They all looked at him no one willing to answer. Finally Everett looked up took a deep breath and answered. "Well Mr. Cassidy it's just that today is a month since Monet died..." he stopped for a while when everyone looked at him. He hesitated a bit before going on. "..and we just kinda remembered how it all was and we felt sorry for her and you know..."

Sean bit his lip. Beside hot headed Jubilee and Elizabeth who seemed to have problems of her own that she didn't want to talk about with anyone, everyone was worrying about Monet. Not that he didn't. He was worrying most of all of them but he tried hard not to show it. He thought he will give them a good example by not whining about it. He was wrong. He understood now was the time to tell them he cared as well.

"You are right. I do miss Monet as well. After she died.... I thought it was my fault. I should have cared more, tried to make sure no one got hurt but I didn't. And for that Monet paid with her life. But we don't have to whine about it. We have to learn from our mistakes and keep going. And make sure it doesn't happen again. We may not succeed but at least we know we tried. Do you understand ?"

"Yes."

"Si."

"Yes Mr. Cassidy"

"Yeah."

"Believe in what Mr. Cassidy says he's been in this situation before." said a voice behind them. They all turned around to see The White Queen. Loaded with shopping bags she smiled coldly. Sean opened his mouth to say something but a sudden noise in the sky interrupted him. It was a matter of seconds and in the middle of the street stood a group of people. Not that they could be called people. They seemed to be robots. They were the size and shape of a man but their faces were robotic. They were dressed in strange outfits which were all black pass a pink collar which ran around all of the shoulders and had a blue triangle in the middle. Also they had gold strips on their chest and hands. At first Sean thought they were Sentinels. But when he saw their size he knew he was wrong. These robots whatever they were looked around with their cold red eyes. When they gazed at Sean and the rest they froze. As if they were thinking of something...

Bastions Base

"Sir we have a emergency !"

"What is it ?"

"The Prime Sentinels have found a group of mutants other than X-Men. According to bio scans they are members of Gen. X What should we do ?"

Bastion thought a while. This was a sudden twist in the plan. His mastermind worked for few seconds before deciding. "Change of plans. Have the Prime Sentinels attack the mutants. I want some of them captured but only some. Some are to remain at the scene alive. The rest is to be taken down and brought here. Is that understood ?"

"Yes sir." the man turned back to the computer and started giving orders. "Attack"

Back in NY

Sean froze as one of the robots began to speak in a inhuman voice.

"MUTANTS DESIGNATE: GEN. X: CAPTURE."

Then hell broke loose. About dozen of the robots attacked Gen. X from everywhere. Everyone got changed to their costumes in a blink of and eye and they started dogging the rays that the robots shoot at them. Sean got up in the air and screamed at the robot with his full power. The robot blew up. With a smile on his face approached the next robot with great speed screaming.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

To his surprise the robot didn't react. Not a scratch appeared. Instead it lifted it's hand and shoot a plasma ray back at him.

Meanwhile Husk quickly changed into diamond and jumped at one of the robots. Her diamond sharp fingers dug into the robot deep. The robot didn't fall, instead it short circuited and blew the already unconscious Paige away. She never knew what hit her.

Jubilee looked up to see that the situation wasn't good. The robots seemed to be immune to their powers. Right now the group was separated into two parts. Unconscious Husk, Synch with Chamber, Skin and White Queen on one side of the street and Banshee and her on the other side with Elizabeth in the middle trying to get to them.

The White Queen surrounded by two robots looked up helplessly. She tired mind probing them but with no use. They were robots after all. She created a mental shield in front of her while the robots tired shooting through it. After just few seconds she got hit by one and then the other. She fell to the ground and tired to get up but she got hit more. #HELP# she screamed telephaticaly before fainting.

Synch using his power synched with Chamber and together they shoot at one robot using all their strength. Somehow it didn't work. Jono was blown away by the impact and thrown over to where Jubilee was standing. And explosion followed and the building that they were standing under started to shake. Jubilee gulped as she though about this old deserted building falling on her. In that moment she saw a bright light in front of her and a ray of energy came from one of the Sentinels. It hit the building totally destroying it. The last thing Jubilee heard was Elizabeth scream. Then darkness filled her...
