The banging on the door reached her mind. Still in the state of sleep she tried to ignore it. As it grew louder she stuck her head under a pillow hoping it would go away. No such luck. Now a voice joined the banging.
"Bets open up we need ta talk."
Betsy didn't say anything. She just hid under the covers more hoping Logan would leave her alone. She knew exactly what he wanted from her and right now she was less than willing to do it. Unfortunately Wolverine was a man that hardly ever give up. She heard her door squeak and his footsteps on the floor. He sat down beside her on the bed and lit a cigar. She didn't look out, she didn't want to see him. Logan lighted a cigar and took a long puff. He then pulled it out of his mouth and stuck his hand under the covers where Betsy was. She was up in few seconds coughing her face red.
"How on earth can you smoke that ?" she asked still coughing.
He grinned and glanced at her. "Ya might want to cover yourself, it's kinda cold outside." Betsy looked down at her naked body and with one quick move she pulled a sheet over her frame. Embarrassed she looked down and could almost feel Logan laughing at her. Finally when her face returned to some shade of yellow she managed to ask.
"So, umm why did you come here. It's only eight am, people still sleep at that time you know."
"Heh, you're a funny person Bets. And you know exactly why I came here. I told you before I left."
"No way. I am not going to train to the Danger Room with you at eight in the morning." she announced in a stern voice. It took one glance from Wolverine. She looked at him and understood she wasn't going to win. "Okay, okay. Can I at least have a shower ? I still can't even see properly."
"You had energy to hop with Cajun on the roof last night." he said grinning. Betsy's turned red again. "Sure go on."
"I thought you were out for the week."
"I was. I got sources."
Betsy laughed out loud as she raised still covering her body with a sheet. She walked towards the bathroom. "Tell Jubilee that I will meet her one day and it will be her last." she said walking into the shower and turning the water on. ^Oh yeah^ she thought as cold water ran down her body. She splashed some on her face and finally felt a bit awake. "And it's not like the blabber mouth told you, me and Gambit were just on the roof and I slipped."
"Yeah ?" Logan called out to her looking out the window. "What were you doing there ?"
"Just.... talking." Betsy replied after a while.
"The boy has an eye out for you."
"Why Jubilee told you ?"
"Nope. I feel it myself. He seems like a decent guy though. And Ororo trusts him. That's good enough for me."
"Oh c'mon Logan, we're just two mature adults, we were just talking."
"And you fell down the roof. Think about it Bets."
There was no response from Betsy for few moments. "Okay so maybe he is kinda gorgeous." she said after a while.
"I'll give ya that Bets. He is a bigger women magnet than Longshot."
"Now what kind of a comparesance is that ?" Betsy said stepping out of the shower. She warped herself in a towel and then walked out of the bathroom drying her hair.
"A very good one." said Logan chuckling. Betsy walked across the room and into her dresser.
"Do we really have to do this ?" she asked while getting dressed.
"Yup. You got a new body, new skills, new powers and we havta look at them, and see how you're coping with it all."
"But at eight in the morning ?"
Logan chuckled. "You wouldn't make a good ninja after all."
"Oh yeah ? But I look like one for sure." she said stepping out of the dresser. Logan looked at her wearing her hand uniform, holding a sword in her hand.
"You know I kinda begin to understand what the Cajun boy sees in you." Logan said chuckling.
"Oh shut up you." she said waving her hand at him. "Now let's go if we really have to." He got up from his seat and they both walked out of the room.

Betsy's pointed her sword upwards her legs spread apart her arms in front of her, every muscle tense and ready for action. "You ready ?" Logan asked.
"No." She still didn't want to do this. She couldn't be bothered. Logan smiled.
"Computer open Danger Room session D-72." he said. The scenery changed into Japan with a blink of the eye. She looked around. They were somewhere in the mountains. A big shrine stood in her way and it led to a grand house.
^Great. He had to make it outside. You got to admit it to the man that he knows what's he doing.^ she thought. She heard a SNIKT sound somewhere and Logan was gone in the shadows. She turned around slowly watching the darkness around her. There was no moon on the sky and it was incredibly dark. Her sword still pointed in front of her she looked around with suspense. Wolverine could be anywhere. Not being able to see him she listened out. At first she heard nothing as she slowly began backing past the shrine and towards the house. Then there was a quiet sound of someone stepping on the leaf. ^Logan you've lowered your standards.^ she thought to herself as she still kept her face straight and looked around as if she hadn't heard anything.
Then there was a sudden rustle of the left and Wolverine came flying from the bushes one step from her. ^Damn I didn't know he was so close.^ Betsy thought as she pushed her body upwards dogging Logan's claws. She flipped in the air and when she landed she was ready to fight. "Not bad for first minute." Logan said. Then in a less than a instant he was in the air again. Betsy barely managed to nice him and she brought her hand up to stop his attack. She succeeded partly but Logan's other unclawed hand came up and hit her on the jaw. She fell on the ground few meters away.
"You broke my jaw." she complained.
"Stop complaining and get up." Wolverine growled. Betsy understood that she was better not to be annoy him and she was on her feet with one move. This time she attacked. Her right leg moved forward and she pushed of her left leg and lurched into the air. She caught Logan unaware and her hand crushed into his jaw. She followed through and her knee hit him on the chest in a place where he had no andamitium. He rolled back and stood up. He didn't say anything but Betsy could see he was enjoying this.
He charged again. Betsy brought her hands up to block his rather slow move when then suddenly his leg came from the side and knocked her off balance. She fell to the ground, angry. She grabbed her sword from the ground and attacked him. Her telepathic power slowed him down as she kicked him in the head. As he spined around she entered his head and spend everything. He was lying on the ground still dazzled when she pointed her sword at him. She was about to say something when Logan's hand came up knocking away the sword. Before she could react he was on his feet and his claws hid in his hands again. One came up and punched her in the face while the other one went straight up her stomach. She hissed as she stumbled back. Unleashing her telepathic power she tried to keep Logan still. He slowed down a bit but it wasn't helping much. He advanced her in slow steps as she tried every trick she knew to stop him.
When he was no more than few steps away she understood her psychic knife was her only chance. Her hand alighted with pink telepathic energy and she swung her hand at him. He stopped instantly and dogged her attack grabbing her arm. He pulled her upwards and threw her over himself. She landed on the ground coughing. Logan opened his claws and pointed them at her face few millimeters away. "Bang, you're dead." he said smiling.
Betsy looked up at him obviously not happy and not sharing his fun. The scenery changed back to the Danger Room again. She grabbed Logan's hand and got up. Sitting down she looked at him. He had a grin on his face and was obviously enjoying his victory. ^Damn why do you have to be so good ?^ she thought. He sat down beside her pulling out a cigar. "You should stop smoking, it's bad for your health." Betsy said.
Logan laughed and looked at her. "If I gave up everything that's bad for my health I'd be at a retirement home."
"You're still certainly the best there is at what you do." she admitted, changing the subject.
"Yup. You're not as bad as you rate yourself Bets. You kept up against me for ten minutes. Hardly anyone can do that. Heck no one in this house can do that."
"Really ?
"Yeah. When you received a new body you received skills. You just have to open them up and learn how to use them. Up 'till now you've been acting out of instinct too much. You need to learn how and when to act and to control your body instead of it controlling you." "You did have some good punches in there tough." he admitted after a while.
"I had you down, the battle should have ended then."
"You underestimate your enemy. I was far from giving up."
"So anyway you still think I can be a good ninja ?"
"Yup once we do some more practice and you learn to wake up in the mornin'"
Betsy frowned.
"Now c'mon let's go and get us coffee, I can see you're dying for some."
"Yeah." Betsy said as she got up. She picked up her sword and hid it in it's bag. "Hmmm, so I'm the best there is after you on the team ?" Betsy asked rather casually but failing terribly to hide her sarcasm.
"Yup. Now just make sure that the Cajun doesn't spoil you." Logan said chuckling. Betsy looked at him from under her eyebrows and smiled but didn't say anything. They both walked out.

Few hours later Betsy was in her room again. She had a small talk with Logan about good old times and he again asked her if she had any clue how she changed. Again she said no and pointed out that Prof. Xavier offered her to read her mind. She asked him if he knew anything about it. He said that he wasn't there and if he was he would be against it but it was probably Scott's and Xavier's idea. He told her he would talk to them and that she didn't have to worry about it, no one would mess with her head as long as he was living in this house.
Reassured with this thought she came back to her room. She took another shower, and now wrapped in a towel she came out to the window to look outside. It was about noon already, she hadn't realized the training took her so many hours. It was yet another hot and suny day. It not only meant that summer was here but that Ororo was in a good mood today. Betsy smiled at that thought. If she had the same power as Storm the world would be a shitty place. As she looked outside she saw Jubilee on her rollerblades, beeing chased by Bobby. She considered yelling after the young brat but she wouldn't listen to her anyway. They had to meet face to face one day and Betsy was sure to tell her just what she thought of her spying on everyone. Meanwhile she looked across the woods. She wondered where Remy was. They dind't get up to anything yesterday, the went to their rooms soon after the roof accident, nothing happend.
^Where could the rat be now ?^ she thought.
Suddenly a face popped up in font of her out of thin air, seeimg to float in the air. She shouted and stumbled few steps back before realizing it was Remy. "Gambit, you scared the shit out of me. What are you doing here ?"
Gambit's grin widened and his hands appeared as well holding a bunch or roses. "My chere, I come here t' see ya an' offer y' roses dat are de same colour as you' eyes." he said in the best romantic voice he could produce. And Betsy had to give it to him, it worked. It was just as if he had a charm power.
"They're beautifull thank you." she said as she grabed the flowers form his hands. "So why couldn't you use the door ?" she asked smiling.
"Gambit wan' t' surprise ya." he said still hanging from the edge of the roof.
"You managed that no doubt."
"So chere d' we g' tonight, t' dinner."
"Tonight ?" Betsy said as if thinking about it. "Oh well okay."
"Good." Remy said grining again. "I meet ya outsde at seven, yes ?"
"Sounds good. Now get out of here before you fall and kill yourself. And let me have some time to get ready."
"O'course." Remy said pulling himself up. "Bon Voyage."

She landed in the desert, somewhere in the largest island in the world. She began walking, not minding the sandstorm. She could see well past the wind and sand that was blowing in her face. She could see bulings of a aboned town on the horizon but they dind't bother her. As long as the sandstorm was hauling outside the people, if you call them people stayed inside. She walked past a giant balck wooden cross lying on the ground and kneled few meters away. She began digging in the sand and few moments later she saw a edge of something shiny. She grabed it and pulled it out to reval a big crustal broken in half. ^This is not how you treat the Siege Plerious.^ she mumbled to herself. She picked up the two parts and placed it in a bag she was carrying. She began floating and dissapearing in the air. ^Siege Plerious was only one piece of the puzzle. I need to hurry to colect the other onces, before it's too late."
