Due
to the increased combat the Drow have been recently facing, they have started
to create 'custom' designs on the battle-mesh armor as detailed below.
Each is the equivalent of AC 4 with the typical -2 Slash and +2 Bludgeon
modifiers. Each suit has the normal 25 DP of Chainmail. Each
suit is also extremely fine crafted of a satiny black metal battle-mesh
that does not encumber the wearer as much as a full suit of chain would
(weighs 20 lbs.). It is treated so as to not loose its dweomer in
sunlight. The armor types are as listed below:
RAVAGER:
Is treated so as to
radiate Silence 5' radius around the suit.
PULSAR:
In each gauntlet is
a modified wand of magic missile with 1d20+1 charges. Note
since they are 'linked' together both wands can be fired up to their FULL
allowance in any given round.
DEVASTATOR:
The links of the armor
can break away to be fired up to 50 feet away with a blast radius of 10-feet.
Each armor can fire up to 50 links. It fires links in bursts of 10
links and each such burst reduces the AC of the armor by -1 until the armor
has reached only AC9 (still gets mods and -5 Lbs. per burst). A fired
burst will cause 1d6+1 points of damage to everything in a 10-foot radius.
CRUSHER:
The armor is
treated to be extremely tuff, it has a full 50 DP, gets +2 on all saves,
and is magically treated to give the user a +2 to Strength while wearing
the suit.
ABSORBER:
The armor is so treated
to be very reflective and is shows, the armor boosts the Magic Resistance
of any Drow wearing it by +21%. Non-Drow who wear it just receive
the base 21% Magic Resistance.
ANNIHILATOR:
Has a Heavy Crossbow
mounted on the back that the user can pull down over his right shoulder.
Each crossbow is a Heavy Crossbow +1 of Speed. The Crossbow
is mounted on the right side of the back with a built-in quiver on the
left side of the back. Each such armor comes with 1d10+1 Heavy Bolts
and the quiver is a 10-cap.
CARRIER:
In each gauntlet
is a modified Wand of Conjuration that only summons Large Spider
per charge. Note that since each wand is 'linked' they both can be
used per round. Each such gauntlet will only have 1d20+1 charges.
