Mail is made through a special processes of soaking spider webs in a variety
of potions. The result is ultra hard, light weight strands that can be
woven into clothing. This clothing is usually died black but if left undied
it is shining silver.

Mail was created by drow priestesses who wished to find yet another use
for their beloved spiders. At first web mail was made often. However as
the centuries passed it became rarer. Few know the long rocess of making
it but those who do often refuse to admit it for fear of being forced to
creat armor for his/her entire life.

mail is AC 3 but weighs only as much as light clothing. It is resistent
to fire, cold, and lightening providing +1 to saving throws against them.
Also damage from those sources is -1. It never needs to be repaired because
holes in it reseal in 1d4+2 rounds after being cut. In addition it can
be enchanted so it will act as a Cloak of Elvenkind.
