This
blade has a longer blade than normal for a weapon of it's type. It is thicker
as well, obviously not a weapon for ornamentation, this blade is used for
combat only. It's bask hilt is studded with black sapphires and pearls,
the silver basket weave is one of obvious drow tastes, filled with spiders
and other drow delights.
This
weapon was forged long ago by several drow mage-smith's working together.
With their combined skills of forgery and mage craft, they wove a wonderful
blade from nothing at all.
It was made for several fencing matches
that were currently in sport in the drow city of Menzoberranzan. These
matches were held so long ago that no one can remember them. It's desing
is of normal drow types, to give it's bearer a very unfair advantage. The
mage's constructed this blade for their weaponsmaster so that they could
claim that they have the sanction of Lloth for an attack against a rival
House..
The
previous owners of this weapon are unknown, it has only resurfaced recently
from a successful raid against a group of duergar. Tyron destroyed these
duergar and took the blade as his only spoil, leaving his other kin to
squabble over the rest.
The current owner is Tyron V'Larein
Attack Abilities:
This blade can cast Heal 1/day, Pyrotecnics
4/day, Sphere of Ultimate Annihilation 1/week, and open a Gate for 5 VI
demons 1/month.
Defense abilities:
sIt acts as a permant protection from
fire, lightning, and earth attacks. Even normal occurances.
It also grants the carrier the ability
to summon a shield (as if cast by a 20th level mage) 10/day.
This
blade is rumored to have some sentient life force in it, from the melding
of powers and each owner leaving a piece of himself (literally) upon the
blade with his death.
