Thillari'talisha
(The Sunfreezer)
Scimitar
altoferret@aol.com
A finely crafted Shlevian weapon, in the style of the Cossacks of that nation, covered in Old Elven, Trilus, and Drow runic inscriptions. The weapon is nearly translucent, though with a bit of a blue sheen to it. Extremely cold to the touch, though tolerable.

Wielded by Driak'az Thal'Tur, Commandant of His Majesty's Own Surfacemen Footmen. The weapon was used by the oldest warrior of the Thal'Tur family since its capture from the Shlevians. However, in 1293 A.C., the Ilt'Fluthra family captured it and held it for four years before the entire family was killed at the Battle of the Obelisk of Fire, at which point the Thal'Turs reclaimed the sword.

Sunfreezer was originally christened Icemoon, by the Shlevian runesmith Naeral Ten'tsel, and created in the year 4 A.C. for Eriatan Me'traailk, one of the Warlordess Andaria Cirithal's chief lieutenants. A powerful weapon, obviously posessing the basic icesteel qualites, and inscribed powers beyond that, it was a scourge to the Crusade of the Cloudbreak (7 A.C.-19 A.C.), launched by the Drow king Ce'thalus III. Regardless of the powers, a spell from the mage Altir'ce Thal'Tur slew him, and Altir'ce's brother, Anclar, claimed the weapon as his own. The weapon was taken to Kurna'thoz, and feeling the radiation of the city, was rechristened by Altir'ce as Sunfreezer and restrengthened with drow magicks. Incidentally, the Everstorm seems much stronger and it's snowflakes much bigger in the area of Sunfreezer.

Abilities:
Aside from posessing standard magical strengths (making it a +5 weapon in the D&D campaign I invented it in) having been reapplicated and strenthened for 5987 years now, Sunfreezer has the following powers:
The blade is VERY cold. When swung in anger it usually freezes any average person to death (2d10 points of cold damage) if the blow doesn't kill them outright.
Also, the sword can summon a small ice storm (1d8 points of damage in a 30' radius for the first round, 1d6 on the second) to rain down upon one's foes.

Most normal weapons (not magical, Icesteel, adamantine, mithril, etc.) will freeze, become brittle, and shatter when struck hard by a blow from the weapon. The sword shields the wielder from any and all magical and mundane cold or ice based attacks. These attacks do not harm the wielder whatsoever.
