Ilythiiri Ktonos (Drow Slayer)
Twin blades
:SonofSinn@aol.com
This weapon consisits of 2 twin blades., measuring 3 ft. in length each. The blade design of each weapon is similar to that of a Glaive (a polearm), without the 8 ft. pole. The handles of these weapons are made from adamantite and measure 1 ft., attached to a 2 ft. blade. Much like the Glaive, they have a curved hook half way down the blade, on the unsharpened side. The 2 ft. blade of each is slightly curved and razor sharp. These weapons cannot be weilded unless trained in using them. The more interesting fact of these blades is known only to the weilder and those who meet their end from its blade. When these blades are connected at the hilts, the meld together magically, creating a staff of sorts, with a blade on either end. The full length when attached is 6 ft. Once connected, this weapon becomes intelligent and is capable of speaking. The weapon quite often becomes bloodthirsty and craves battle, vocalizing this lust freely. (*Note, speech and other magical properties depend on the weapon itself).

This unique weapon was forged personally for Mourn DeVir, by a lesser known God, Christar Dain. Mourn, after retreating the evil clutches of Menzoberranzan, sought refuge in the world under the sun. He had spent much of his life with his kin, learning their tactics, treachery and bloodlust and now he would use it all against them. He vowed to devote his life to this task and Christar Dain, hearing this saw an opportunity and seized it. He approached the plotting Drow, and speaking in the tongue of the Dark Elves, told him how he would help him. Christar, being of a somewhat good alignment, worried about what might transpire from this union. On trust alone, he forged this one of a kind weapon for the outcast Drow. In return, Mourn devoted his life to two things: The service of his God, and the slaying of his people. After much training in the use of this weapon he learned of its special powers, not told to him by his God. Upon joining the two blades, accidentaly, he came to know Ilythiiri Ktonos as a kindred spirit, who soon learned and shared the thrill of killing Drow.

Abilities:
These blades function as +1 when seperate, but when joined become +2. The weapon has no magical capabilities , unless joined in the single weapon. Upon being joined, the weapon gains the following powers:
-Darkness 15' radius (3 times per day)
-Silence 15' radius (2 times per day)
-Taunt

Currently Wielded by Mourn DeVir, Outcast son of the fallen House DeVir. Hunter of the Drow

*Note this weapon is one of a kind, though several copies are known to exist. The copies of this weapon have different abilities and personalities (if intelligent). Also, one must devote much time to learning to use this weapon, due to its unique style. If taught by one skilled with it, it may be learned quicker.
