This powerful Defender sabre was created specificly for Bandoth despana by Malacor Harpell a high elven slave.  But in 1225 Dr (2 years after Maracor was captured) Drizzt Do'Urden became a renegade and freed all the slaves before escapeing the Underdark and stole the sabre before it was complited. Many years later Drizzt brought the sabre to Breunor Battlehammer the king of the Mitril hall where it was complited.

The only other owner of this weapon was Bandoth Despana but was stolen by Drizzt before it was ever used, making Drizzt the first acctual owner.
 

Abilities
The sabre Defender does 1d8+5 damage to all creatures of evil alinment dealing an extra 1d6 damage.  Defender is concidered a vorpal weapon, therefore severing the head of the target on all critical hits. Defender is a keen weapon dealing an extra 1d6 damage to the target.. 

Defender lowers AC by 2(hence the name) and gives the weilder the following abilities: lightning reflexes, whrilwind attack and also gives the Offencive spin abilitiy( +% to thaco). 

Defender raises dexterity by 2 and Str by 2. The holy power in the blade bestowed by the dwarfs of the mitril hall reveiles all enimies who are hiden in shadow or invisible by any other magical means.
