The only Ravenloft I've played has been computer games, the
most recent is Stone Prophet (which isn't a recent game but was
still fun). You get to create two characters, chosing from 6
races, choosing from 6 basic classes that you can duel depending
on race. I had a fighter/mage/cleric, and a fighter/mage/thief.
You level slower, but you need a cleric for water, and a thief to
open doors helps, and mages that can blast enemies from across
the room is VERY useful, as it helps lower the amount of times
you can get poisoned.
Your party can go up to four as you encounter different NPCs,
a troll, wemic fighter, undead paladin, gypsy, ranger. Along with
the main goal of destorying Anktepot to end the plague and return
home, there are many other little quests you must accomplish,
each giving more clues to the big puzzle.
Conclusion, if you like RPGs and don't mind having to do lots
of exploring and getting frustrated once in awhile cause you're
lost so you look at walkthrus (grin) then try it. Ok, wasn't
meant to be a sales pitch, just giving acutal information on the
series. But to get the experts opinion, try these links:
