Tulaxxian People
Tulaxxian

Humanoid warrior race, originally from the planet Vi`kamu. A proud, tradition-bound people who value honor, the aggressive Tulaxxian culture has made them a military power to be respected and feared. In Tulaxian society, the death of a warrior is not mourned, especially a warrior who has died honorably, as in battle or the line of duty. In such cases, the survivors celebrate the freeing of the spirit. Tulaxxian tradition holds that "the son of a Tulaxxian is a man the day he can first hold a blade." Another Tulaxxian ritual is the R'uustai, or bonding ceremony, in which two individuals join families, becoming brothers and sisters.

The Tulaxxian body incorporates multiple redundancies for nearly all vital bodily functions. This characteristic, known as Fren'lui, gives Tulaxxian warriors enormous resiliency in battle. Despite the considerable sophistication of Tulaxxian technology, significant gaps exist in the Tulaxxian medical science, in part due to cultural biases that injured warriors should be left to die or to carry out the Shas`bat. Tulaxxians have no tear ducts and their blood is a lavender-colored fluid.

Tulaxxian Alliance

The Tulaxxian nation, founded some 40,000 years ago by Kythmul the Unbearable, who first united his people together by opposing invaders from a neighboring planet who were trying to overtake their homeworld.

First contact between the Tulaxxians and the Republic was actually a task-force sent to Vi`kamu to aid in defeating the Sith around 5,000 years ago. After the Sith were beaten some dissention arose between the Tulaxxians and their allies, leading to nearly thousand years of hostilities. Then, finally, negotiations between the Old Republic and the Tulaxxians seemed to be a possibility, but suddenly broke down.

The Tulaxxians issued an ultimatum to the Old Republic to withdraw from disputed areas claimed by both groups or face war. The hostilities came to a head when The Empire declared itself the new governing body of the galaxy.

Seeing the Empire as a like-minded group the Tulaxxians quickly allied themselves with it. But this was not an easy road. The Tulaxxians were staunch supporters of the Empire and there were Tulaxxians in all areas of the Great Empire. But the Tulaxxian High Council, the governing body of the Tulaxxian people, was a hotbed of political activity that nearly plunged the Tulaxxian Alliance into civil War when council leader Kupoll died of poison. This murder, seen as a killing without honor under Tulaxxian tradition, was blamed on the Empire and the Tulaxxians revolted. The Empire sent it's best negotiator, Lord Vader, in to address the High Council but fled for his life once they were told his was a Sith Lord.

This event led to the Tulaxxians sucsession from the Great Empire and to support their once legendary ally, which was now called the Rebellion. After the Empire was defeated, the Tulaxxians became a proud part of the rebuilding process of the galaxy, acting as the main body of defence of their section of the galaxy until the Republic had enough man-power to take over.
