As you can see, the games were very hard and VPs were divided very closely (first 10 players had 4-6 VPs)! The last year champion – Martin Csonka Skyba – was unable to get a victory again and so new draft champion is Jozsef Kuminka from Hungary.

Into final round should go Marcus Mock and Walter Paolini, both from Austria, but they were in a hurry to get home. So, another two Mathuselahs played a final fight.
First round:
First table: Peter – Martin R.– Marcus – Simon – Jozsef
The rest of the table didn’t like Peter’s weenie politics and they always tried to stop his Pander activities. But after two unsuccessful Legacy of Pander cards he finally manages to put this card to play. But also later he had problems because nearly everyone at this table played politics – also Jozsef’s Gangrels! So, Peter should finish Martin with bleeds. Later, his own Anarch Revolts (and Jozsef) ousted him. The most powerful was Marcus – he slowly accumulated horde of vampires and finished his opponents.
Second table: Jaro – Jan R. – Jan N. – Vlado – Carl
Very interesting table. Jan N. has excellent start and his prey Vlado very poor. So he was ousted soon. Jan’s dominate Gangrels started to bleed Carl and his Setites tried to corrupt them. In one moment, all Jan’s vampires had at least Temptation card. But even this didn’t save Carl. On the other side, Jaro’s weenie horde easily defeated Jan R., but then he later wasn’t able to get Jan N.
Third table: Ernst – David K. – Martin C. S. – Javier – Ondra
Ernst had good start with Ozmo, but his activities were stopped very soon – he tried to bleed for bigger amount, Ozmo was deflected to Martin and he played Archon Investigations against him. Poor Ozmo (and Ernst)! Later, though battle began. Martin heavily bled Javier, but he often deflected. So, Javier ousted Ondra, who had only one vampire (Sheldon) and couldn’t resist such bleeding actions. Martin was slowly bled by David’s vampires and was ousted a bit later. Then an interesting situation came – all Mathuselahs had only small amount of pool (J-4, E-1, D-4) and they tried to oust each other. David was the most lucky person and he managed to finish both his opponents.
Fourth table: Tamas – Miki – Brano – Michal – Dusan
Strong bleeding at this table and deflecting pool too. Sometimes a prey bled his predator. Brano changed the organization of the table and sat before Tamas who had the lowest pool. Then most of bleed actions finished at Tamas or Miki. So, Brano easily ousted Tamas and later Miki. On the other side Dusan managed to finish Michal and then he start to fight against Brano. It was really though battle – bleeds, healing, politics. Dusan had more power and slowly got advantage. After many turns he finally ousted Brano.
Fifth table: Lubo – Walter – Zsolt – David D.
Nobody liked Lubo’s weenies – everyone tried to kick him out. Politics from Zsolo and David and some bleeds, too. But despite that effort he was able to oust Walter. But this was his only VP at this table, because Zsolo had prepared defenses against him. Zsolo firstly ousted David, then Lubo and his horde.
Second round:
First table: Marcus – Zsolo – Dusan – David K. – Jan N.
Very interesting, but long struggle was here. The best start had Dusan and his stealthy bleeders. But those bleeds usually ended at Jan and he didn’t like it. So he supported Zsolo and politically ousted Dusan cross the table. Later in the game he made a big mistake when he let his prey Marcus to finish Zsolo. Thus Marcus got an advantage, but his politics couldn’t go through David’s intercepts. David had better position than before because Zsolo was able to increase stealth of his vampires and Marcus was not. So he had opened way to Jan – and he ousted him soon. The struggle was unfinished because the time limit elapsed. One interesting moment – “Out-of-turn turn”: firstly 5th Tradition on predator’s vampire was cancelled via Direct Intervention and then huge bleed (Jan’s Ingrid) was stopped by Archon Investigations (Marcus).
Second table: Jozsef – Jaro – David D. – Simon – Carl
The whole table (except Jaro) was trying to save David from Jaro’s weenie horde. But unsuccessfully. Later the game was clear – Simon finished Carl with bleeds and Judgment: Camarilla Segregation and Jozsef ousted hated weenies (Jaro). The long battle between Jozsef and Simon resulted – and more luck had Simon.
Third table: Martin R. – Miki – Ernst – Jan R. – Michal
Miki was very unlucky this day – during Malkavian Game he lost 5 pool! But despite this lose he could stay and fight. He called Muddled Vampire Hunter, killed Ernst Malkavians and finished him. Michal and unwillingly Jan bled Martin to death. The game then lost speed and finished when time limit elapsed.
Fourth table: Vlado – Martin C. S. – Tamas – Ondra – Walter
Ondra’s Nosferatus were good fighters – they killed many vampires this time (the most of them belonged to Walter and Tamas) – usually the vampires were Disarmed and then Decapitated. This activities were good also for Vlado, who had clear way to victory (his predator had a lot of problems and he didn’t disturbed him). So he firstly politically ousted Martin and the he bled out Tamas. Later Ondra started to attack also Vlado’s vampires, so his success were stopped.
Fifth table: Brano – Lubo – Peter – Javier
We had three weenie deck in a tournament. And two of them met at this table. So Lubo’s weenie bleeders started to bug Peter’s weenie politics. Of course, Brano liked this struggle and when he saw a good chance, he ousted them both in one turn. Weenies are not very welcomed in Kosice ... Although Brano had an advantage of 12 pool from ousting two Mathuselahs he was unable to finish Javier – and was ousted himself instead.
Third round:
First table: Marcus – Brano – David K. – Zsolo
Nothing special at this table. Crucial moment was when David’s Muazis diablerized Zsolo’s Leandro. This gave Marcus total political influence and he used it well.
Second table: Simon – Vlado – Javier – Dusan – Jan N.
Very unpleasant situation for Javier happened when his full Donal was stolen by Vlado (Hostile Takeover). But Javier didn’t got up and he managed to oust Dusan. This table was full of bleeders and bleed pool was played nearly anytime. The most powerful was Simon, especially when he stolen Jan’s Caitlin via Mind Rape.
Third table: Peter – Miki – Jozsef – Jaro – Michal
Again two weenies at one table! Michal didn’t like Jaro as his predator, so he changed table to Miki – Peter – Jaro – Jozsef – Michal. Jozsef put Curse of Nitocris into play and it was funny. Political weenies ousted Jaro and Jozsef changed order: Jozsef – Miki – Peter - Michal. Peter got one more VP for Michal. Miki was brave, but Jozsef’s vampires finished him and then Peter, too.
Fourth table: Lubo – Ondra – Martin C. S. – Walter – Jan R.
As you can expect, Lubo’s weenies bled Ondra to death. Similarly, Walter hadn’t problems with beginner Jan. Then Lubo’s vampires started to breed with great speed – he had nine of them. Surprisingly, Walter called Domain Challenge and Lubo, who thought that victory is his, was ousted in one moment. Long battle between Martin and Walter was ended by Walter’s victory.
Fifth table: David D. – Ernst – Carl – Martin R. – Tamas
Carl prepared a deck for fun, not for winning. He loved stealing vampires (Temptation, Form of Corruption) and Curse of Nitocris. Everybody at this table (except David, who was ousted very soon) had fun. The game was long and finished when the time limit elapsed. Carl had his last turn and he ritually sacrifices himself in the last moment to increase the artistic effect from this game ...
Final round: David Korejtko – Jozsef Kuminka – Javier Abad – Simon Zach – Brano Baco
Instead Walter and Marcus Javier and Brano went to a final round. Jozsef started with Curse of Nitocris immediately from the beginning. It was strange and helped many people except himself. Very atypical situation came soon – contested title – Igo (Jozsef) was declared to be Prince of Dublin and Donal (Javier) came and showed him, who is the real Prince. David played very inconspicuously and when he saw Jozsef small fault, he bled him strongly getting VP. Then good situation came to Brano – a lot of bleeds and stealth – and he twice nearly finished David. But then Simon stole Brano’s Gratiano via Mind Rape and then he played Judgment: Camarilla Segregation. He immediately sacrifices stolen Gratiano to burn Judgment. Lose of Gratiano weakened Brano, so David started to be happier. All these battles were far from Javier, so he healed himself and influenced a lot of vampires. When other players came to their senses, he had horde of vampires and lot of pool. His Beast quickly solved any problems with dangerous vampires of Javier’s opponents. Donal, Constanza and the others bled ... Simon was ousted quickly. Brano and David saw Javier powers and realized that alone they would be both easily defeated. So they made alliance for a while and their combined powers finished Javier. In the last minutes Brano was stronger and he ousted David, but because David had better position in previous games, he got the victory.
A new Antediluvian Awakening constructed deck tournament champion is David Korejtko from Prague!
The atmosphere of both tournaments was great. It’s a pity that Austrians couldn’t stay for a final round of a constructed deck tournament, so they lose two good positions. The tournaments were very special because they were international: 5 Czechs, 1 Spanish, 3 Hungarians, 4 Austrians and 13 Slovaks! I hope for such tournaments in future ...
