Tips

Here are a few tips on getting you to be a better monster rancher. I'll be adding alot more to this section since I've gotten over my cold. Oh and plus if tehre is anything wrong with some of the info I've given please email me so I can change it or if you have a tip of your own. Please share share share. Credit will be given to you if you so desire. Oh and sorry if things seem choppy. And also remember folks these tips are things I've tryed and had work for me... so they might not work for all of you.

1:Loyalty- If you are having trouble getting your monster's loyalty above 50 you are probably spoiling it. If you spoil it loy. will not go above 50. To keep style at even.. don't give it what it wants ie.. extra food, items it asks for, etc.. Also playing/ resting/ (maybe) battling when it asks to do so will spoil your monster if you agree. Some items will either raise or lower loyalty but I'm not sure which does what. I'll have to check on that later.

2:Life- Having trouble making your monster live long? These may be some reasons why. Battling your monster alot, sending it on alot of errantries, your monster is KO'd in battle, low stats in Life, and a few other things I'm sure I left out.. will decrease your monster's life.

To help increase your monsters life you can use a silver or a golden peach. Golden Peaches can be found on the ParePare Expedition. Silver Peaches are found in a special battle I think is called Elder's Cup. To fight in this you have to have a monster that is at least 6yrs old. I don't know when it takes place yet.

Another way to increase life is to rest your monster before it gets tired. In other words rest it when its condition is on its second "Seems Well".

Raising it's Life stat will also increase lifespan.

If you want a second generation monster to live longer. You might want to try using a Plant Disc Chip as a seasoning. This will help your monster live longer. There are also other chips that will increase lifespan and others that will increase life stat. I'll update as soon as I figure out which does what.

Using drugs often such as the battle enhancing drugs (can't remember the names of them right now) will descrease your monsters life. If you insist on using these do them at your monsters risk.

3:Raising your monsters stats- I'm sure a few of you might be wondering why you can never get your monsters stats to be very high. Unlike MR1, combining 2 wonderful monsters will not neccessarily give you a great monster in return. To get a good combined monster try to combine 2 monsters that go up pretty well in the same areas. Like, 2 monster that go up well in Pow, Int, Life.. whatever. A Gali and Pixie would most probably make a better combo than a Pixie Golem. You all get my point dointcha? =P Hehe I hope so.

As your monster gets older you will notice that it's stats will go up better while you are doing either drills or errantries. First off don't try to raise every stat to equal the other!! This is a mistake that I've made and I'm pretty sure some of you have as well. In MR1 this was possible b/c you could feed your monsters as many peaches as you wanted to keep them alive, but in MR2 if you try to get every stat up to be good.. it probably won't work. Your monster will more than likely die before you get it to anything. Try focusing your attention to 2 or 3 areas where the monster is good in. The first should be the better gained area and then the others should be the next best areas. Focusing your attention to 2-3 areas on your monster is alot easier than focusing on all 7(?).

4:Money- Don't have alot of money huh. Well I can relate to you. Unlike in MR1, in MR2 you can't get money from doing drills. The only way you can get money is to either fight in battles or sell items you find on Expeditions which makes the game alot more harder than the first. Fortunatly though Errantry and Item Shop sales are alot more frequent than in the first MR.

My suggestions would be to raise 3 seperate monsters. One for Expeditions another for Battling and then another for whatever else you want. Doing this is alot more effective instead of having one monster that battles and goes on expeditions and whatever else you have planned for it.

For expedition monsters make sure that your life, power, and intellegence is high enough so your monster will be able to find you great things that you can sell or use. I'd suggest to raise 2 monsters with high gains in those 3 areas and then combine the 2 to get a good second generation monster with better starting stats. And remember when you are done drilling your monster freeze them until needed.

For Battle monsters just have a monster that will win you those great small battles that give you bunches of money. If your not sure which battle to do just flip through each month and put the cursor on the battle in question and it will tell you what you will win. Oh and if you don't want to waste time raising a fighting monster. you can always use Sueki Suezo from MR1 cd to battle in the free for all in October. The cash prize isn't much but the heel badge goes for 5k(?). Oh And remember.. Sueki Suezo only lives for one week so make sure you get one on your ranch the week of the battle.

Other Ranchers Tips!!

Credit to: Omega Henger for this helpful info ^_^ Visit Omega's Lair to see more stuff on MR from him!!

First feed your monster its favorite food for the first month, next month feed him Cup of Jelly (If he doesn't like it then feed him Fish), Then next month Feed it tablets (doesn't like those feed it meat). Keep repeating this combo and he should live at least a year longer.

If you really want him to live longer DON'T SEND HIM TO ERRANTRY'S! Because the ratio of your monster getting injured there is 2:5. That may seem small but it's not worth it trust me. Keep drilling him at the ranch. It gains more stats faster and cheaper.

Another thing is to make it not get stressed out alot (how i dunno) but if he does give it the mint leaf because stress also leads to death.
