The Battle of Chin'toka


Despite warnings from the Bajoran prophets, Sisko and the Federation lead an attack against Cardassia. They start to invade the Chin'toka system, because it is abandoned. When the Federation fleet arrives at the Chin'toka system they discover that the entire system has been mined with hundreds of orbital weapons. The fleet then attacks the weapons, hoping they can be the victor. A small group of Jem'Hadar warships suddenly appear and ram several Klingon vessels. The Klingons take heavy losses, and the Federation loses several vessels as the weapons decimate the fleet. Chief O'Brien and Garak find the weapons' power source. They then trick the orbital weapons into thinking that the power source is a Federation vessel. The orbital weapons turn on the power source and destroys it. The ships that remain in the fleet continue to destroy the orbital weapons. The fleet then proceeeds to place trrops on the planet surface. Meanwhile, the Defiant rushes back to DS9 when the crew hears about Jadzia's death.
