"Field of Fire"
I've seen "Field of Fire", and I was very impressed. In my opinion, it1s the best DS9 episode since "In the Pale Moonlight", and it earns a spot on my top ten Trek episode list, which as of now includes "Scorpion" (VOY), "Way of the Warrior" (DS9), "The Visitor" (DS9), "Timeless" (VOY), "All Good Things...." (TNG), "Frame of Mind" (TNG), "The Cloud" (VOY), "The Inner Light" (TNG), and "Latent Image" (VOY), and of course "Field of Fire" (DS9). Well, back to "Field of Fire". The scene where the murderer was targeting Ezri was very suspenseful, and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I also enjoyed the dream scenes with Joran, as well as the chase scene in Quark's. I wasn't able to see who composed the music, but whoever it was did a terrific job, and it perfectly matched every scene. In fact, it earns a spot on my top three musical scores of the season list. That list now includes "The Siege of AR - 558"/Paul Baillargeon, "Chrysalis"/Jay Chattaway, and "Field of Fire"/?????. Along with great music and atmosphere, this episode featured some great acting by Nicole deBoer and the man who played Joran. (I'm glad that we finally got another episode devoted to Dax's past.) Everyone else on the cast did a splendid job as well. That's about it. All in all, "Field of Fire" was a superb episode full of suspense, character development, great music and acting, and a great plot. My Rating : 12.00 out of 10.00!! -- NEXT WEEK : Odo comes in contact with a fellow changeling
