Tacking Into the Wind

"Tacking Into the Wind" is one of the most supsenseful and dramatic Deep Space Nine episodes I've ever seen, and it easily replaces "Field of Fire" as the best episode of the season. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire show, especially during the Kira/Rusot fight, the Worf/Gowron battle, and the Damar/Garak/Kira/Odo/Rosot showdown. I knew that neither Kira nor Worf would be killed, but it was supenseful nonetheless. As usual, David Bell's musical score was brilliant. His scores for DS9 are usually better than his Voyager ones, since his music perfectly matches the darker atmosphere of DS9. Along with the music, the special effects for "Tacking Into the Wind" were quite impressive. I liked the shot of the Jem' Hadar vessel going to warp and exploding, as well as the shots of the Cardassian space station. Oh, I absolutely can't forget the acting for this Final Chapter installment. Both Nana Visitor (Kira) and Andrew Robinson (Garak) were wonderful, as were the actors who portray Damar, Rosot, and Gowron. Avery Brooks (Sisko) and Michael Dorn (Worf) also turned in nice performances. My Rating : 12.00 out of 10.00, the best episode of the season! NEXT WEEK : Section 31 returns once more to visit Miles and Julian.
