Macross Saga
Here's some info on the saga that started it all for the humans at least.
Humans
Humans that lived
Rick Hunter is the hero of the saga. This is the character the saga usually follows. Lisa Hayes is the 1st mate of the SDF1. Occasionaly the there is a show that is mainly about her. She ends up marrying Rick in the Sentninels. Max Sterling is the "ace" of the saga. He's usually pretty timid. He usually has the same expression on his face. Even during the mob secene in The White Dragon. Another example of this timidness is on his wedding day to Miriya flying to the ship in his Veritech fighter. Lynn Minmei is the all-around cute and lovable character of the saga. Also she the "Secret weapon" of the RDF. Without Minmei it's very likely that the RDF would've lost the war.
Human casualty list
The first human casualty of the humans was their ace pilot Roy Fokker. He was the leader of the famous Skull Squadron. The other main thing was that he was engaged to Cauldia Grant. Ben Dixion, if you count him as a main character, was next. He died on the barrier overload. He appeared one more time is a hallucination. Claudia Grant, Admiral Gloval, and the The rest of the bridge crew were next. They all died at the same time on the last Zentradi attack which was lead by Khyron and Azonia.
Zentradi
Zentradi that lived
There are 6 Zentradi that lived. Breetia, exedore, Miriya, and the three spies. Breetai had only a minor role after the destruction of the main fleet. Before then He had one of the largest Zentradi roles. He even beat-up Rick, and Ben's batteloids. Exedore was short for a Zentradi. Only because he was made for intelligence, and He was the first Zentradi ever made. Miriya was the ace Zentradi pilot. That is until she defected. She held grudge with Max before she marryed him .The three spies, Konda, Rico, and Bron, lived because they defected. After they were spies they missed the micronian culture so much they had to defect. They also started severe cases of mutiny on Breetia's ship.
Zentradi Casualties
Most Zentradi died, including Khyron The Backstabber (shudder). It's very likely that the Zentradi would have won the war if Breetia hadn't called in Khyron. He's so bent on destruction that he wanted to destroy Macross, the Protoculture Matrix, the earth along with all Micronians, and the SDF 1. Dolza the Commander in Cheif of the Zentradi died in the mian fleet's attack on earth. Otherwise he did nothing important in Macross. The last Zentradi death in the Macross saga is Azonia's. She had breif control againgst the attack to recapture the SDF 1.
What happened to these people?
I bet your wondering, "What about Lynn-Kyle?". The last I heard of him was that he was going away. Other than that I think he died before the Sentinels, or during the attack on Earth by the Invid. Mainly because Minmei had a vision of him on the voyage back to Earth. Most of the visions that people had were of dead people. Also I bet your wondering about Mimmei's Uncle Max, Aunt Lena and her cousin Jason. I really don't know about this one. The saga's writers just left them out.
