This is this odds and ends of The Juggernaut. Random information and commentary that doesn't fit anywhere else but is important nonetheless. Basically anything left uncovered from all the other pages will be put here. This page is interactive and I'm open for ideas as to what needs to be on here. Got a suggestion?

Myths & Misconceptions will address several misunderstandings about The Juggernaut I've seen floating around. Some are funny, some are troubling. And some are even understandably based on writer faux pas. The Dream Fights section is pretty much self-explanatory. These are who I really want to see Juggy throw down with at some point in his career. The Untapped Powers section will list alot of the unexplored abilities we've seen Cyttorak's avatar could wield if he were to ever take a timeout from swilling beer and hitting on women in bars to explore and use his true power.

Myths & Misconceptions

"The Juggernaut is very tough, but he can be hurt/beaten/knocked out/killed if you hit/blast/pound him hard/long enough."

False. The Juggernaut is mystically protected from harm by any form of conventional attack from the physical plane regardless of the intensity, strength,or length of the attack. His body is totally indestructible by physical means and can only truly be harmed by psionics, certain magics, and to some degree sensory attacks. He can be jarred or stunned by sufficient and sudden enough force(i.e. hit off-guard,shaken violently, sent flying, etc.) as he's only human and has a normal equilibrium, but no physical blow or blows can cause his person any pain or damage. He is also immortal and cannot be killed so long as he is connected to his magics. While The Juggernaut's skin and flesh is impervious to physical injury his organs such as his eyes or brain have proven capable of being damaged or destroyed. However, The Juggernaut's magic fully heals any injury he may suffer near instantly.

"The Juggernaut is only invulnerable because of his magical armor and/or forcefield."

This particular misconception undoubtibly stems from from Thor #429 where Thor is able to suddenly harm The Juggernaut by nullifying his forcefield/protective spell. The Juggernaut's body itself is totally invulnerable to physical attacks and his skin is incapable of being broken via any physical means. His armor is indestructible and his forcefield is impenetrable, but he is still invulnerable without either. The armor is worn to withstand what his body goes through without rendering him naked. His forcefield is used to prevent him from being touched when he does not want to be,i.e. when he may be attacked from behind or by something that he does not want on his person such as Spider-Man's webbing.

"The Juggernaut's armor and helmet are made from the same material."

Though there are discrepancies in it's portrayal The Juggernaut's armor officially is not made of metal, but of an unknown indestructible mystical fabric. His helmet is made of an unknown mystical metal that while psi-proof,is not indestructible by any means and has in fact been torn apart or destroyed several times.

"The Juggernaut can be killed by ripping the gem of Cyttorak from his chest."

........

This would be $#@%ing FALSE. The gem isn't and never had been inside The Juggernaut's chest or any other part of his body. That was a rediculous concoction of the Onslaught storyline and was done for that issue and that issue alone to create awe of a crossover star. Like just about everything Onslaught related. I can't believe people actually think Cain Marko was walking around with a football-sized gem lodged under his sternum. That was the stupidest plot device I've ever seen. Marvel must have laced the pages of that issue with skin contact acid hits for people not to see how retarded what they were reading was.

His chest. I still can't believe something like that was actually written.

Dream Fights

GHOST RIDER(Dan Ketch)

Though on paper this would seem like a gross mismatch,Ghost Rider's supernatural powers could theoretically give The Juggernaut alot of trouble. The Penance Stare is either psionic or mystic depending on the source. If it's the former,it will have no effect as long as The Juggernaut is wearing his helmet. If it's the latter,Juggernaut will pay for alot of pain and suffering he's handed out over the years. Regardless of the nature of the Penance Stare, that The Juggernaut can outright smash the Ghost Rider into little pieces until Ketch can no longer rise presents quite an obstacle.

I'm curious to see if the Ghost Rider's mystic chain or hellfire-aflamed hands could affect The Juggernaut. Despite the power advantage of The Juggernaut this could possibly be a very interesting match-up once you look beyond the numbers.

IRON MAN

Basically,I only want to see this for one reason. Iron Man pulls out far too many big fights that he's losing by whipping up last second schemes. I like Iron Man and think he's one of the cooler heroes around, but that's a major beef I have with him. I'd like to see him in a fight where he couldn't pull it out for a change no matter how many last ditch efforts and contengencies he thinks of. And that's exactly what he'd face in The Juggernaut. When Iron Man faces an inordinately powerful opponent he usually will tap as deep into his armor's reserves as he can and wins it in the end. However, such hailmarys won't work against someone who can shrug off anything you could possibly throw at him. And when he winds up for his big energy-draining play (a la the super punch against Hulk) to take Juggernaut down last ditch,he's going to find out what so many others have after they've exhausted all their efforts...

Nothing can stop The Juggernaut.

MAGNETO

My second favorite character and it's ashame that he and The Juggernaut have only met in a What If to my knowledge. Magneto can be truly awe-inspiring with what he can do with his powers and despite his recent loftiness he's still underrated. Magneto I believe actually has the raw power to stalemate The Juggernaut. The problem though is that while he has a daunting array of attacks,Magneto is only human. He will eventually tire after expending so much energy for so long. And that is when The Juggernaut will get the drop on him. Magneto will hit The Juggernaut with a barrage of different strategies but in the end they will all fail and Magneto's only real option for success is if he can manage to remove The Juggernaut from the fight as he does not have the means to take The Juggernaut down. The Juggernaut on the other hand need only manage to get past Magneto's defenses once and the fight is over. Easier said than done however. Magneto would attempt to reverse or hault the flow of blood to his brain. The Juggernaut's magics may or may not prevent Magneto from directly affecting his person. Either way Juggernaut won't be terribly effected as he doesn't need oxygen and while he may find this tactic an uncomfortable experience the spell will protect him from damage. Magneto in all likelihood would try a metallic barrage but barring an incredibly auspicious field of battle there is nothing Magneto can toss in Juggernaut's path that Cain would not smash right through and close on him. Magneto may try to levitate The Juggernaut from the battle but The Juggernaut's spell of unstoppability allows him to resist being moved in such a manner even if lifted off the ground with no physical footholds. Magneto could eventually bind enough metal to him to bury The Juggernaut and keep him there, but after awhile of that constant strain of Juggernaut never relenting Magneto would falter eventually. Magneto's only chance of success would be to try and use metal to remove The Juggernaut since he would be unable to hurl The Juggernaut's body directly, and do so before The Juggernaut can burst free. Much like their thrilling What If battle this fight would be a race for positioning.

Once/If The Juggernaut gets a hand on him,the story ends.

MAESTRO

I like a Hulk/Juggernaut brawl as much as the next guy,but it's not the best ticket in town. They're too evenish in strength and with Juggernaut's invulnerability it's a good fight, but barring something truly advantageous happening the outcome would always land in Juggernaut's favor unless the fight is interrupted. Even if it takes all week. Whatever Hulk can do to Juggernaut Juggernaut can do to him, only it will hurt the Hulk. Maestro however is stronger and more experienced than the present day Hulk. And while he could handle Juggernaut easier physically because of his superior strength he'd be sharp enough to know Juggernaut is always going to simply get back up and keep coming as hard and fresh as ever no matter what what you throw at him. Maestro would realize he'd have employ strategy and that pure slugging will never work. I think environment would come into play and what the Maestro has to work with. He could possibly contain Juggernaut somehow. How determined Juggernaut is to take him down would also be a huge factor. While fully capable of doing so it would take a large commitment to stick with it long enough to defeat the Maestro in a standing fight.

Definately one fight I'd pay to see.

THANOS

*REMOVED

NAMOR

The Prince of Atlantis has over the years become probably the most underrated hero around. While always notably formidable Namor if allowed to bring the battle underwater in his own element becomes nigh-invincible. The only mortal who seems to be able to handle Namor well enough underwater is Iron Man(see above on Iron Man's win tendencies) and even he knows not to push his luck beneath the waves against Namor. Unbeknownst to alot of people this hybrid powerhouse has taken on some of Earth's top strongmen including Hercules and the Incredible Hulk and proven their superiors. Many a time has been seen when Namor even if dominated on land brought an unsuspecting surface champion under the waves and humbled them before his sea-spawned might. Enter The Juggernaut...

There are two factors in Namor's undersea success. One,in the water his strength and stamina are at least doubled from what they are on land putting him on par with some the strongest of people on Earth. And two,his opponents suffer the exact opposite effect underwater having their strength and stamina effectively cut in half by the water pressure pressure and lack of oxygen. The Juggernaut however is immune to such adverse side effects. His stamina is limitless and he will never tire. And though hampered by the water,Namor's swiftly landed blows will never harm him. Namor will most likely outmaneuver and tag the sea-handicapped Juggernaut with great success. But he will probably make the same mistake many others do and confuse the power of his attacks with their actual effectiveness. A few staggering blows from the surprizingly unfazed Juggernaut should slow Namor enough for Juggernaut to wear him down with a forever unyielding assault.

GLADIATOR

Alrighty then. Now this is a tricky one so bear along. Gladiator is without a doubt one of if not THE most inconsistently portrayed characters around. While this alien superman moonlights as praetor of the Shi'ar's Imperial Guard, his real job unfortunately seems to be making other characters look good. To do this,he is generally presented as this unimaginably powerful, invincible enemy with zero chance of being defeated. Then, after that's sold, his formidability disappears without a trace so Character X can beat him and get bumped up a peg for doing so. To make matters worse,on top of this unenviable duty his powers also fluctuate in accordance to his confidence at the time. Ouch. This particular fight cannot accurately be speculated on in one direction. Because of the unprecedented inconsistency this will be broken down into two of the different versions of Gladiator.

On The Job. This is the Gladiator that comes on strong, gets it handed to him, then goes to pick up his paycheck at the end of the book. If this version of Gladiator faces The Juggernaut it's gets ugly really fast. A few Hulk level blows will learn Gladiator keep his distance, and he'll probably switch tactics and rip off into Juggernaut with some high-intensity eyebeams. When he sees The Juggernaut continuing to advance toward him against his most powerful beams like it's not even registering against him Gladiator's confidence will drop like a stone. After that The Juggernaut will punish him. Mercilessly.

If Juggernaut catches Gladiator on his day off, which I hope, this goes much differently. This version of Gladiator lives up to his name and can be a very daunting presence. When Gladiator brings his A-game out there's hardly anyone who can match him physically. After Gladiator flies in to engage he'll quickly taste how strong The Juggernaut is. And vice versa Juggernaut will learn Gladiator can take it. When he unloads his eyebeams and The Juggernaut wades through them like a water pistol stream and drills him again he'll learn The Juggernaut's unstoppable as well. This will undoubtibly shake his confidence I'm sure but that doesn't seem to bother him much unless he's on the clock. After that the fight will begin in earnest and the two will most likely reap unholy amounts of punishment on each other back and forth for awhile until either Juggernaut catches Gladiator with a good one and staggers him or it clicks in Gladiator's head trying to physically defeat The Juggernaut will only lead to his own eventual demise. The only resort then would be trying to remove Juggernaut with his faster-than-light speed and flight.

The final result of The Juggernaut against this version of Gladiator would probably be determined by whether or not Gladiator can successfully use his superspeed deposit The Juggernaut somewhere without getting his head clapped in the attempt. If Gladiator does not make any more use of his speed against the Juggernaut than he has against normal opponents,he is going to suffer some rather punishing consequences.

THE IMPOSTERNAUT

If this fight happens don't let the kids watch because it could get real ugly, real fast. The all-out assault the Imposternaut has levelled against the Juggernaut's image makes this the grudge match supreme. Imitation is the highest form of flattery but poor mockeries are the lowest form of insult. This towering figure may look like the Juggernaut visually but that's where the similarities come to a screeching hault. As the Imposternaut's timidness and brow-raising degree of femininity--er,sensitivity will attest,he is the Juggernaut's fundamental opposite. The only thing that seems able to spark any kind of resolve in the Imposternaut at all is his at times uncomfortable interest in the young boys of the Xavier Institute of Higher Learning. Due to this lack of fortitude chances are the Imposternaut would be defeated mentally before the fight ever began. Unlike for Wolverine however the Imposternaut's fear in this case will be well warranted. Despite his imposing Juggernaut-like visage the Imposternaut is a far cry from the man he proposes himself to be and against the genuine article would be fated for an unholy disciplining. While at times boasting impressive strength on the call of nearly half that of the Juggernaut's the Imposternaut is woefully fragile and relatively minor amounts of punishment can injure and even kill him. Unfortunately, the Juggernaut hits really really really hard. Perhaps with a Sammy-inspired spurt of toughness the Imposternaut may be able to butch up enough to muster some kind of momentary struggle but really, nothing could save him from his medicine. He would be pounded to within an inch of his life and then likely beyond.

A one-sided stomping,as this would undoubtibly be,may not sound like a Dream Fight, granted. But it would be if somewhere in it the Juggernaut manages to beat the Imposternaut's real identity out of him. I'm dying to find out who or what this guy really is and the Juggernaut mopping, waxing, and buffing the floor with him would be by far the most satisfying method of extracting that info.
