~*~

He wanders up and down the stairs,
in a big ole ramblin' house.
Searching and searching for Mommie and Daddy,
But they are no where to be found.
He seems to have lost his way,
and is so all alone.
Until someone new moves in,
and tries to call this home.
It's then he has his most fun,
this impish little soul.

~*~

Slamming doors and throwing things,
to make all sorts of noise.
Oh how he loves to play this game.
It brings him so much joy.

~*~

He really loves to scare "The Big Man",
who causes this new family pain.
Who rants and raves at his wife and child,
and hurts them just the same.

~*~

This Man is NOT A MAN AT ALL!
not like the Little Soul's,
whose Father was so loving and kind,
to every one he knows.

~*~

It angers him to watch this man,
and all his cruelties.
I think I'll play a new game,
especially for him.
I'll make the Big Man tremble,
I'll make his eyes bug out,
I'll make him feel like those he's hurt,
And drive him from this house.

~*~

Things fly across the room,
And pound him in the head,
Doors fly open and close on him,
He knows not where to tread.

~*~

The men in white they come,
to carry him away,
You see "The Big Man" has gone quite mad.
He'll never be the same.
The Little Soul smiles.
He knows this man will never hurt another.
Safe now are the child and her beloved mother.

~*~

He wanders up and down the stairs,
in the big ole empty house.
A sadness falls upon him,
and he at last cries out,
"Mommie, Mommie, please take me home".
"I feel so all alone".
A bright light falls upon him,
His sweet Mother's voice he hears.
"Are you sure you are quite ready,
to come home, my little dear?"
The Little Lost Soul runs quickly,
gathered up in loving embrace,
As Mother and Child ascend,
to God's Heavenly Grace.
