The Spung War Story

By me, Leah

Part Three

TJ wasn't anywhere near a window, so she had no idea what was going on outside. She couldn't see the Earther vessel that was coming to blow up the ship.

"Let's move in, I don't think that they can see us. After all, we did hack into their security systems. They shouldn't see us until we're right on top of them. This is going to be good," one of the Stardogs said to the other. They grinned, getting ready to go in for the kill.

Warlord Shank was talking to Bea when Bea's eyes widened and she stared out of the window. "Shank, look... the ship... the window..."

Shank whirled to see a large, menacing-looking Earth ship appearing from hyperspace.

"We have to get the girls."

The two of them ran out of the room, smashing into Warlord Jeff and Lizzie (his wife) and their two children. "The Earthers! They're here!" Lizzie yelled as the two families ran off in their seperate directions, Lizzie and Jeff to the escape pods, and Warlord Shank and Bea off to find their two daughters.

They ran to the nursery, where the servants had been watching after Elmira and Caroline.

They dashed in, and picked up Caroline.

"Where's Elmira? Where's my other baby girl?" Bea yelled at the servant that hadn't already fled.

The servant shrugged and ran out, hoping to escape.

Bea, holding Caroline, dashed out, after the woman.

But, when she reached the hallway, the girl was gone. "Shank . . ."

Shank nodded, and they began to race through the hallways, attempting to find Elmira.

Suddenly, the ground under them slid back and forth. The ship had been hit.

"I'm sorry, Bea, but I think we have to get out of here, and now," Shank yelled above the racket.

Bea was shaking her head when a beam crashed down and almost hit her. She screamed.

Shank grabbed her and the two of them ran for it. They dashed into an escape pod. And left.

During those same moments, Elmira was walking around, near the cells.

She stepped inside, peering at TJ. "Ear-ther. Hell-o. Hi."

"Oh, shut up, you little brat. Buzz off, I don't want your company."

"Ship is coming. Blow us up."

"Of course. Now go away."

Elmira reached over and pushed a button on the wall. It pulled back a screen, showing a picture of an Eather ship, quicly approaching.

"Ship is coming. Blow us up. Can I have candy?"

TJ gasped. "Get us out of here! We've got to go, little girl!"

Elmira smiled. "No. This my home. You have candy?"

Suddenly, the ship fired. The killcruiser lurched.

TJ slipped and fell. Elmira began crying and yelling, "Er-ther hurt! Er-ther hurt!"

"GET US OUT OF HERE, LITTLE GIRL! DO SOMETHING!!"

Elmira laughed. "Let's stay here. This is my home, where's Mommy?"

TJ yelled, "Give me the keys, OK? Make TJ very happy, and give me the keys!"

"Who's TJ?"

"Please, just give me the keys!"

Elmira nodded, reached forward, and grabbed the keys. She was about to give them to TJ, but the ship lurched and Elmira flew forward, slamming her head on the bars. She dropped the keys, right at TJ's feet.

TJ picked them up, unlocked her cell, and ran out. She was about to step into the escape pod she had found when she turned around and thought about the young Spung girl. To whom she owed her life.

TJ ran out to get Elmira.

"One more shot ought to get rid of the rest of the killcruiser."

"Great. Fire. I hate those Spung. They're ugly."

"Green is just the most disgusting color."

"I know. Anyway, fire."

"OK, here we go."

TJ scooped up the little girl and dashed into the escape pod. Just as the hatch was closing, the Earhter ship shot.
