Details: His father's name was William Mulder, his mother's name is unkown. His first word was JFK. In 1974 when he was 12 his sister disappeared from her bed one night. This tore the family apart and his parents were divorced. His sister, Samantha Anne Mulder, was abducted when she was eight.

When he was young his friend's house burnt down and Mulder spent the night in the ruins to protect it from looters. Following this he suffered years of nightmares about being trapped in burning buildings and developed his phobia of fire.

Mulder went to England and became an "Oxford educated psycologist who wrote a monograph on serial killers and the occult that helped catch Monty Props in 1988". During his time in Oxford he met a Phoebe Green and they became lovers.

He is considered to be the best analyst in the Violent Crimes section. His partner in Violent Crimes was Jerry Lamana. At 28 years old, his first case was Jonny Barnett, in which his partner was Reggie Purdue. Mulder worked for 3 years at the FBI Behavioural Science Unit, profiling serial killers. His profile helped catch Luther Lee Boggs.

Mulder has published an article in Omni about Gulf Breeze sightings. He has undergone deep regression hypnosis with Dr Heitz Verber concerning the events of his sister. He 'developed a consuming devotion to an unnassigned project outside the Bureau Mainstream' called the X Files. He is allowed only to continue his work because of his connections in congress. His nickname at the Academy is 'Spooky'. He has been trying to access classified govt. information but has been blocked by someone on a higher level. He is not well thought of by FBI colleagues and most of the FBI, including Skinner, feel his talents are wasted on the X Files. Danny Bernstein is a friend in the Cryptology Section at the FBI who Mulder often contacts for information. After the death of his contact, 'Deep Throat', he considered leaving the Bureau.

His interests include guitar rock and he is knowledgable about American football. He is also obssessed with porno. His aliases include M.F. Luder and Marty Mulder. Mulder is red/green colour blind and gets seasick. Apparentely his apartment has no bed in it so Fox sleeps on a couch.

Having only recently taken a holiday in 4 years of work Special Agent Fox Mulder continues to investigate the paranormal and with the help of his partner Dana Scully e hopes to fulfill his quest for the truth.
