Details: Dana Scully has two brothers, one older, the other younger. Her older brother is Bill Junior. Her sister is Melissa Scully. Her father, Bill Scully, was a navy captain but passed away in 1993. Scully called her father 'Ahab' and he called her 'Starbuck'. Her mother's name is Margaret Scully.

She was a tomboy as a girl. She was (and presumably still is) afraid of snakes. On her 15th birthday she received a golden cross. She was raised a Catholic but drifted away from the church which, although Scully herself doesn't know why, is probably due to her stubborn skeptism and her view as a scientist.

She went to school with a Richard Johnson, son of Commander Johnson (see 'Piper Maru'). Marcus (surname unkown) was the 12 grade love of her life. In college she took German. She got an undergraduate degree in Physics and wrote her senior thesis on Einstein's Twin Paradox and it was entitled "Einstein's Twin Paradox: A new interpretation". She went to medical school but chose not to practise. So when she recruited out of med school and joined the FBI her parents saw it as an act of rebellion.

During her training in the Academy she dated her instructor, Special Agent Jack Willis, for almost a year. After 2 years with the FBI she was assigned to work with Special Agent Fox Mulder and write field reports along with her observation of the validity of the work. Aware of Mulder by reputation, she became (after a shaky start) his trusted partner. Using her residency in forensic medicine, she performed many of the autopsies relating to the cases.

After a year Mulder and Scully were split up as the X Files was closed down. Scully began to teach at the FBI Academy in Quantico, but during a hostage crisis she was taken and abducted by the government. On her return the X Files had been reopened.

Her sister was murdered by the shadowy conspirators that had her abducted. After 4 years working for Mulder her skeptism has weakened after witnessing many strange sites. She continues working with Mulder and will, hopefully, for many more years.

Other personal details: She used to have a dog, whom she called Queequeg, but the dog was eaten by a huge alligator. Scully drinks coffeee with cream and no sugar.
