Borg Cube

Borg Cubes are massive vessels which are used by the powerful Borg Collective. It takes well over a dozen of the Federation's strongest starships just to damage a healthy cube. The Collective has attempted to assimilate Earth on two separate occasions. During both attempts, a single Cube was used. Luckily, the Federation managed to defeat both Cubes, but not without losing several starships and officers in the process.

The U.S.S. Voyager has encountered the Borg several times during their journey home, since the Borg are spread throughout the Delta Quadrant. Voyager usually encounters Borg Cubes, but the Collective does use other ship designs. In late 2373, a Borg cube escorted Voyager through the heart of Borg space. However, the cube was destroyed by a Species 8472 bioship, and Voyager was forced to travel throughout the rest of the Borg's vast territory without an escort. Luckily, Kes threw Voyager out of the heart of Borg space just before she entered another dimension.
