Borg Sphere

Besides the Borg Cubes, the Borg Collective uses many other vessels to assimilate new worlds and lifeforms. One of those vessels is the Borg Sphere. The average Borg sphere is considerably smaller than the Cube, and it's not quite as powerful. Even so, it would take several vessels to destroy a healthy Sphere. The U.S.S. Voyager first encountered a Borg Sphere in early 2375, when the Borg attempted to take a 29th Century Borg from the crew. Another one was encountered later that year, when Janeway and an away team successfully stole a damaged Sphere's transwarp coils.
