Kes

Kes was an Ocampan who served aboard Voyager for the first three or more years during its long voyager home. Kes believed that the Ocampans used to have great telepathic powers instead of small ones. Her people did not agree with her so she felt them. When Kes ventured up to the surface of the Ocampan’s desert world, she was captured by the Kazon Ogla. They treated her badly. A Talaxian named Neelix managed to rescue Kes from the Ogla with the help of the Voyager crew. After the Caretaker died Voyager destroyed the array. Before the array was destroyed, a Maquis vessel which had also been brought to the Delta Quadrant by the Caretaker, was destroyed by the Kazon Ogla. The Maquis agreed to join forces with the Starfleet crew in order to survive their long journey home. Neelix and Kes agreed to join the Voyager crew. Shortly after their long journey to the Alpha Quadrant, Kes became the holographic Doctor’s medical assistant, since Voyager’s medical staff was killed when they were violently thrown to the Delta Quadrant. When the Vidiians stole one of Neelix’s lungs, she gave one of her two lungs to him so he could survive. Kes and Neelix were romantically involved. Tom Paris was in love with Kes. Neelix started to feel anger toward Tom. Tom and Neelix even had a fight involving Neelix’s hair pasta, in the Mess Hall. Kes became distressed when the two started to fight over her. When Neelix and Tom crashed a shuttle onto a hazardous planet, they were forced to work together. They later became close friends. Tom then agreed not to be involved with Kes because Neelix was. When a duplicate of Voyager was created by a spatial scission, Kes crossed over to the duplicate Voyager on accident. Kes was later returned to her Voyager. Kes became distressed when Neelix and Tuvok were merged together to form Tuvix. She didn’t want to kill Tuvix, but she wanted Neelix and Tuvok back. Tuvix was eventually returned to Neelix and Tuvok. Kes once programmed the Doctor with a twenty four hour virus so he could experience what organic life forms went through. Kes secretly extended his virus and the Doctor thought he was going to die. Kes told him that she extended the virus because it wouldn’t be a fair test if he knew when the virus would end. Voyager once met with a group of Ocampa that lived with the Caretaker’s long lost mate. When the Ocampa came aboard Voyager they taught Kes how to greatly extend her mental abilities. While using her new found abilities she almost killed Tuvok. After Voyager fled from the other Caretaker and the Ocampa, Kes lost her extended mental powers. Tuvok and Kes had frequent meetings to help Kes control her mental powers. When Voyager was on an alien planet Kes, while looking at an artifact, accidentally touched a force field which almost killed her. Janeway went through many rituals to save her life. In the end, Janeway found out that some things don’t have a reasonable, scientific explanation. When Voyager was thrown back in time to 20th century Earth, Kes and Neelix got hooked on soap operas. Kes’s body was once violently taken over by an alien entity known as Tieran. While under Tieran’s influence, Kes broke up with Neelix. While Tieran controlled Kes, she killed a Voyager crewman and almost killed Janeway. Kes resisted Tieran and finally managed to defeat him. Kes was deeply disturbed by this accident and her personality changed because of it. An accident aboard Voyager made Kes travel from the moment to her death to the moment she was born. While Kes was traveling backward through time she had lost most of her memory. She slowly started to regain it. While in this alternate universe Kes found out that she and Tom got married and had a child called Linnis. Linnis then married Harry Kim. Harry and Linnis had a child called Andrew. Kes also found out that Captain Janeway and B’Elanna Torres were killed when Voyager was constantly attacked for a whole year by a species known as the Krenim. When Kes returned to her timeline she immediately wrote a report on the Krenim. Shortly after coming in telepathic contact with Species 9472, Kes started to go into a state of cellular flux. Kes was forced to leave Voyager in order for her not to destroy the ship. Since she left so suddenly there was no time for goodbyes. Before Kes and her shuttle disappeared, she used her new powers to throw Voyager ten thousand light years from home.
