Malon Freighter
The Malon freighter is a type of starship used by the Malon. It's a fairly large vessel, and it can defend itself in a battle. However, it carries lethal cargo. The freighters are mainly used to haul toxic waste. If the hull is punctured by enemy weapons fire, the waste will be ignited, and the entire ship will be destroyed.
The U.S.S. Voyager encountered Malon freighters three times in 2375. The first encounter took place in an area of space known as "The Void". That particular freighter was destroyed by Voyager. Shortly after that incident, the Malon attempted to steal Voyager's multi - spatial probe. When the crew steered the probe into a gas giant to hide it, the Malon pursured. They were destroyed by the atmospheric pressure. Later that year, Voyager encountered a damaged Malon vessel, which was about to explode. With the help of the surviving Malon crewmembers, they managed to push the ship into a nearby star.
