Synopsis

My Thoughts

I loved "The Voyager Conspiracy". I thought it was very suspenseful. For a moment, I actually believed that Captain Janeway was a traitor, and that she conspired with the Cardassians to strand Voyager in the Delta Quadrant. I only started to realize that Seven's conspiracy theories were fiction when she announced that Chakotay was still loyal to the Maquis, and that he was going to attempt to steal Voyager and destroy the Cardassians. I knew that Janeway and Chakotay couldn't both be traitors. It wasn't long before I realized that Seven's mind was being affected by something. Everyone in this episode gave wonderful performances, especially Jeri Ryan, Kate Mulgrew, and Robert Beltran. I was thrilled to hear and see all of the references to Voyager's past five seasons. We got to see flashbacks from such episodes as "Caretaker" and "Scorpion". Also, I was very interested to learn that a Cardassian ship was pulled into the Delta Quadrant by the Caretaker before Voyager was. The special effects were nice. I especially enjoyed the space catapult that Voyager and the alien vessel used to get themselves closer to their homes. Well, "The Voyager Conspiracy" was filled with conspiracies, suspense, and paranoia, and I thought it was great. In fact, it surges ahead of "Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy" to become the best episode of the season.
