I don't know that much about Tolkien himself, but I know I love his writing. He creates a new world, like yet unlike our own. He does something perfectly which others have tried to imitate throughout the latter part of this century. Some have had success at creating good imitations, others have failed miserably. Tolkien not only creates a world so real that one could almost believe that was the way it used to be, but the characters he creates are just as real. He creates more true characters than any other author I can think of. The only thing that I regret is that he was not able to write more. I enjoyed reading before Tolkien, now I love it.

One of my favorite characters from Tolkien is the character that everyone is bound to like, Sam Gamgee. He is funny, heroic, brave, and just a good guy. What is there not to like about Sam. He is loyal to a fault, with a heart of gold.

I get my nickname Beleg, from the Silmarillion. The greatest woodsman in the history of Middle-Earth. The reasons are many, but I just generally like the guy, and the name is good. Though Cuthalion doesn't quite work as well.
