It's big, it's mean, it's well armed and armored,
it doesn't like humans. The Sectopod is an extremely robust war machine designed for heavy fire support and
capable of operating in most (if not all) Earth environments. This heavy battle robot is at least as capable as
our own Heavy Weapons Platforms in terms of fire power and ratio of first shot hits/kills and boasts even greater armor.
Thus it is important to exploit the units inherent weaknesses as covered in section 10-F, Manual 101040-C the so called "ufopaedia."
For those of you who haven't read the manual (which we here in the xeno-biology lab went to so much trouble to prepare)
the Sectopod is vulnerable to laser weaponry due to the sensitivity of it's integral sensor package. Further, the under armor of the Sectopod is slightly more vulnerable to fire as are most aliens so
if you can shoot one in the back, do it!! XCOM Sniper's using the Heavy Laser as a primary support weapon have reported quite a bit of
success in taking down Sectopod's from long range and this is the recommended tactic when dealing with most alien terror weapons. Further information
