Whether you've been reading comics for years or just started, you must know that theres a huge trend in comics, and especially X-comics, to start a plot and then leave it unfinished for years. We call them plots danglers, and here I've tried to find all of the danglers within my collection. Be warned, reading these plot danglers will only complicate the already confusing world of our not-so-merry mutants. And now, on with the danglers. . .
The Claremont Era is known for a multitude of innuendo and well developed plots. Chris gave the older readers something to discover in each issue. Nothing was ever quite as simple as it appeared, so when reading Claremont make sure you question everything!
The Uncanny X-Men after Claremont are no less confusing! With wings re-growing, funny tatoos and touching, theres plenty to speculate about. So hold on and I'll take you into the world of Marvel's flagship book and all the plots that got left far behind.
The X-Men as written by Fabian Niceiza and later Scott Lobdell, have had some, shall we say, 'confusing' plots. Psylocke...er Revanche...or is that Kawwon? Have fun trying to figure out who is Betsy Braddock, what Gambit's hiding and what the heck Spiral is up to!
Although X-Man is a relatively new book, it has already produced a hoard of danglers, ranging from dead side-kicks to living shadows. Terry really knows how to write good plots, trouble is he just wants to fit them all in! Have faith, they'll eventually get answered.
With time-tavellers, split personalities and dubious alliances, X-Factor is a real breeding ground for confusion. I can't promise clarity but have fun reading about the heroes...er and villians on X-Factor!
X-Force is a relatively fun and light book until you look past the humor and try to figure out the enigma that is Shatterstar, combine that with double personalities, meltdowns and undercover heroes and this book might win for most mysterious, altough very entertaining, plots!
Generation X has for the most part been excellently written and writers have time and again returned to old plots, making us fans very happy, yet even with many enigmas answered there are more to come for the second generation of X-Men!
Cable is just one big paradox waiting to happen, being the son of Scott Summers and Madelyne Pryor, infected with the TO virus, and sent into the very distant future only to return as the man destined to train the High Lord and kill Apocalypse produces lots and lots of danglers for yours truely to tear apart!
Submit your own X-plot dangler: Perhaps you know of a plot dangler that I've missed. Or maybe you've got a resolution to a plot dangler. Whatever the case, if you any information on X-plot danglers you can send it to me using the submit your own dangler page. If you do have any info I'd appreciate hearing about it.
Why don't you go back.
