The long awaited (Yaaaawwwn) return of Cpt. Britain...........and I didn't even get sick. It was handled pretty nicely, and it looks like his powers haven't returned.......yet. The other part of the storlyine with Douglock, Shadowcat, Nightcrawler and Collossus facing the Mimic was also really enjoyable. One complaint I do have is Douglock being relegated to comic relief status. I mean it's great that he's got a personality now, but he could be an integral part of any team instead of the blundering wisecracking alien. Another amusing scene was Meggan trying on wedding dresses and her body shifting to what she thought of each one, but the best part of this book is the possible change of heart on the part of some of the prime sentinels. This showed that maybe it is possible for others to override their programming much like Daria did over in GenX. Wouldn't it be cool if a prime sentinel (Daria in Gen X Daria in Gen X) could actually join an X team. I have one question though. After the Mimic is defeated he's shown as not having wings or anything. I thought that he had the powers of the original X-Men permanently. What up with that? I know this has just been sort of a random and dazed group of statements, but I'm feeling rather random and dazed. It's Independence Day weekend, and I'm on the ebb of the party wave getting ready to hit the crest again. :) So until I see ya'll again. Have a great holiday weekend

GOOD POINTS:

Loved the art, and the story lines keep getting better and better with the characters acting..........well, more in character. What a horrible time to cancel this book. Once again Rahne was shown as her cute redheaded self and not the Wolf-Girl............and ofcourse the prime sentinels seeing the light.

BAD POINTS:

Possible slip up on Mimic's powers (the original X-Men thing)............and ofcourse the upcoming cancellation when the book is starting to get readable again.

OVERALL RATING:

I'd have to give issue 123 a 9 out of 10. The cliffhanger at the end with Nightcrawler about to announce their return to the X-Men was the only really bad part.
