Powers: ability to generate and detonate at will time bombs made of explosive energy.

Tabitha's mother was said to have died when Tabitha was a child, but recently her father revealed her mother really left them. (There's a rampant plot hole surrounding Mrs. Smith's absence, but in any picture, she's gone... but knowing Marvel...*shakes head*) Anyway, after her mother was out of the picture, Tab's unemployed alcoholic dad starts beating on her. So as a teenager, Tabitha runs away from home, is recruited by X-Factor, and subsequently joins the X-Terminators, then the New Mutants, and spends a short time with the Fallen Angels, then goes back to the New Mutants. I believe she goes out with Rictor for a time, but then she falls in love with Sam and starts going out with him (as I said before there is no accounting for taste!!).

Tabitha becomes one of the New Mutants to initially join up with Cable and form X-Force. She is very loyal to the team for a long time, but never gets much attention, and never really proves herself indispensable on the battlefield, which is unfortunate. When Cable comes back to the team in X-Force #25, she's just overjoyed, can barely contain her happiness. Runs up to the guy and hugs him. Anyway, when she and Sam go down to Sam's family's farm in Kentucky to take a break, they get visited by the Externals, who really comes to bug Sam, but the visit helps ease Tabitha's tension about Sam being an immortal, (He is an immortal, you know. Or so they say.. but once again ...this is Marvel...) and realize how much she loves him.

After AoA, Tabitha starts taking care of Sabretooth, who has been in a nasty fight with Wolverine. No one else in the Mansion approves of her being nice to him, except Shatterstar, who trusts her to make the right decision (But I hardly think this guy's in a position to give his opinion). This whole dissension thing leads to major tension between Tab and her teammates, who want her to leave Sabretooth alone because he's a bad man. But she disagrees, causing much arguing and discord. Then Sabretooth hauls off and betrays her (SURPRISE SURPRISE!!), which makes her none too happy. So after being mind-controlled by Lady Tessa and ordered around by Sebastian Shaw, Tab cuts her hair off, of which she didn't have much to begin with, and she changes her code-name from Boomer to Meltdown, and starts copping an attitude. And other good stuff, like developing her powers, fighting Blob single-handedly. She's been the team's resident hothead and firebrand since then (and actually revealed she had an IQ during the Castle Doom arc. WHO KNEW!!)

At present she's helping out Dani and Bobby keep a kid named Richie Algeria safe from the mob.
