 Nate is the AOA equivalent to 616 Cable. He was birthed by Essex out of the DNA of Jean Grey and Scott Summers. Essex had hoped to use Nate as a weapon against Apocalypse. Through tricks of fate Nate was freed from Essex by Scott and was raised by the rebel Forge. Essex was later killed by Nate as revenge for the death of Forge, who died trying to protect Nate.

 Ironically Nate was a weapon against Apocalypse and helped to destroy him. In the process he was blasted into the 616 reality. Upon arriving in the 616 reality he thought of Jean Grey, and unknowingly resurrected Madelyne Pryor from the dead. She came for him and helped him to get through his troubles. Nate was harassed by many people, some meaning good some meaning ill, but Maddie was his anchor. She kept him sane in a world where he was lost and alone. One day Maddie disappeared. She was lured away by Selene, and Nate was left alone.

 Then came Threnody. She was under orders of Sinister to keep an eye on Nate. She saw Nate as her salvation, so she protected him against Sinister. Later on she started to develop feelings for Nate, and he for her.

 Nate refused to make an alliance with any of the X-Men or other Mutant groups. He and Threnody struck it out on their own in New York City, striving for a normal life. Nate and Peter Parker, aka Spider Man, became close friends. Peter was Nate's confident, and he tried to teach Nate responsibility.

 Maddie reappeared, apparently killing Threnody (Who Nate just assumed had abandoned him), returning to Nate. During the reunion Jean Grey appeared at the cabin and showed Nate the truth about Maddie. There was a large battled between the three, Nate felt he needed to destroy Maddie because she was his creation. But Maddie had NateÕs powers, and she wanted to live.

 After that Nate was not able to access his telekinesis, but he still had his telepathy. Moira MacTaggert was able to prove that Nate was blocking himself from using his powers. She was un-able to help him use them though, that was up to him.

 Nate teamed up with the Brotherhood for awhile, before once again striking out on his own. He stayed with a trio of cool girls, Marita, Jam, and Bux, until recently.

Powers: Telekinesis, Telepathy

Many believe that Nate is the most powerful psi on the planet. Moira once suggested that he could rival the Phoenix. He has mind controlled entire crowds and created HUGE TK blasts. His power is so great that it is consuming him. Moira hasn't been able to find a solution, so it looks like Nate will die by the time he hits 21.

Skills: Nate can Fly, due to his TK. He's also a mind reader (telepathy), and at one time did it professionally. He is also a Three Card Monte champ.

Character Traits: Nate grew up fast, he's still experiencing a lot of things one should experience as a child. Plus heÕs a teenage boy. Lets just say as good as his intentions, a lot of times he acts without thinking, and sometimes he can be rather pig headed.
