Emma Frost was once a villanous member of the Hellfire Club as the White Queen. While Queen, she, with Mastermind, was in part responsible for Jean Grey becoming Dark Phoenix. Later in life, she formed a team of young mutants named the Hellions who were intended to populate the Hellfire Club when they came of age. Unfortunetly, the mutant Fitzroy slaughtered the Hellions and sent the White Queen into a coma with a Sentinal attack. Seeking to protect the next generation of young mutants at all costs, Emma helped Banshee to save future members of Generation X from the Phalanx threat. Ambigiously reformed, Emma continues to plot and scheme as much as ever, yet she has also grown very attatched to her new students.
