Most members are born into royalty and enrolled in the most prestigious military academies. Only the top 5% graduate to become true Black Talons. Their duties mainly encompass protecting the queen, serving as her personal bodyguards with utmost loyalty. On occasion, they are sent forth as shock troopers when Raven wants to make a show of her power.

Name: The Ebony Wing

Type: Thieves Guild

Location: Dragonslair, Yeggli

Loyalty: Eluloth (12th lvl Dark Elf Thief)

Leader: Eluloth

General Alignment: Neutral-Evil

Item Received: Cloak of Chaos

Members: Currently stands at 92.  8 master thieves coordinate large heists and regulate the lower ranking members.  8 master enforcers handle guild security, punishment and client intimidation.

Notable Members:

Strategies/Tactics: The great majority of members are cut-purses and common street thieves. They do employ a few thugs and enforcers to help them out of tight situations or impose "protection fees" on local merchants.  The Ebony Wing strives to minimize their public exposure.  Therefore, they carry out all assignments with the utmost secrecy and often blame rival guilds or cover crimes up with a natural "accident".  Most victims don't realize they have been robbed for days, weeks or sometimes, not at all!

Notes/Description: Although the Ebony Wing has its own selfish agenda, it was originally created as a den of informants for Raven.  They learn the latest street gossip and pass it to Raven at a price.  Although collecting information was their original goal, they have long since branched out into thievery, extortion, robbery and every other known crime for bringing in gold.  The only crimes they seldom commit are kidnapping and assassination, but not because of any moral objection.  Kidnapping often brings them more trouble than it's worth and the guild just doesn't employ enough assassins to make it worth their time.

Strategies/Tactics:

Notes/Description: The Phoenix Force attacks with a devastating combination of air and ground forces. Every member is highly skilled in both physical combat and magic. Each elven rider and their dragon mount is linked through a telepathic bond that enables combat maneuvers that would otherwise be impossible. Their only known weakness is their haughtiness and superiority complex which they often horde over other branches of Dragonlair's army.

Notes/Description: Each warlord commands 1800 troops composed of footmen, cavalry and archers.  All the warlords are capable generals, but they enjoy entering the conflicts personally, where their strategies can be best implemented and changed on short notice.  They exercise complete control over their soldiers leaving no tolerance for disobedience.

Name: Darklords

Type: Mage's Guild

Location: Dragonslair, Yeggli

Loyalty: Raven

Leader: Galion (10th lvl Grey Elf)

General Alignment: Neutral-Evil

Item Received:

Members: 30

Notable Members: Ayesha (8th lvl High Elf), Tram (9th lvl High Elf), Morcant (9th lvl Gray Elf), Jesepth (9th lvl High Elf)

Strategies/Tactics: The members are broken into 3 teams of 10. The first group pounds targets from a distance using long range, highly destructive spells.  The second group follows up with close quarters attacks using a combination of magic and weaponry.  The third team acts as a support group handling most of the protective, surveillance and interrogation spells.

Notes/Description: 30 War Mages of great power who aid Raven in her magics and lead the rest of the war mages.  Raven fully authorizes them to use whatever force necessary to get the job done, even at the cost of innocent lives.  Unfortunately, this freedom has spawned a sense of being above the law and sadistic tendencies among some of the members.  Galion does little to stem these attitudes as long as they accomplish their goals.

Name: Nightstalkers

Type: Vampire Assassin Guild

Location: Dragonslair, Yeggli

Notable Members: Kela Moondancer (9th lvl Female Grey Elf), Teng Viksoon (8th lvl Dark Elf), Bohdri, Elval Weepingtree (6th lvl Valley Elf)

Strategies/Tactics: Stealth and secrecy are the Nightstalkers greatest allies. Given their vampiric nature, they always operate under cover of night.  Bands of 6 are deployed for most missions.  However, Xel prefers to not take any chances when the mission is dangerous and will send an additional 1 or 2 bands as backup, just to make sure the job is done.  He knows that Raven's price for failure is high.

Notes/Description: Used to quell internal strife as well as spy on enemies and eliminate external problems quietly.  They handle the dirty deeds that Raven wants to keep hidden from the general public.

Notes/Description: Elite knights that act as shock troopers and battle captains. They are immensely effective in direct combat, chasing off entire divisions by themselves.  When used in conjunction with the Crystalwood military, they serve as field captains.  On the battlefield, their authority over the common troops is absolute.
