Mutant Powers: Mikhail can change matter at the atomic level from one state to another.
Current Status: After Storm forced him to return the Gene Nationals from "The Hill", Mikhail was apparently killed while trying to escape. However, he later reappeared and manipulated both present and past incarnations of the New Mutants. During this encounter he infected his sister, Illyana Rasputin with the Legacy Virus which he himself was carrying. Most recently, he teleported Marrow and his brother Colossus to the Hill, his powers having been enhanced even further. It was eventually revealed that this enhanced ability to create living objects from inanimate ones came from some sort of intelligence from The Hill that had formed a symbiotic relationship with him. This intelligence was purged from Mikhail's body and he was able to return to reality with Marrow and Colossus.
