Nightmare War Universe: What are they doing now?

It's been over six years since this adventure took place in our time line. During that time, most of the characters have gone through major changes. This is a quick list of those changes. One major change is the development of the trans-mat, a matter-transfer device that is far easier to design and afford than the warp devices introduced in Adventure #380.

Allon, Gim: Gim lost his powers due to the injuries depicted in the Nightmare War novel. He's very happy being the Legion Liaison officer for the Science Police and occasionally handles special missions.

Allon, Yera: She's still married to Gim Allon and acts in community theater. The couple have a half-homo magi daughter (a witch seduced Gim, it's a very long story.) and are considering adopting a Durlan child.

The Armorr Twins: The children are still using their magic and still confounding their parents. Val Jr has had clairvoyant visions in the past, and Katrina has come into her Orakil birthright of illusion-making.

Armorr, Val: Val had surgery to fix his hip. After retraining to restore his abilities to Legion-level, he was accepted back into the ranks. He and Jeckie work very hard to make sure that the twins have one "safe" parent at all times.

Arrah, Jan: Is still a Legionnaire. As Shvaughn Erin's lover he's learned to communicate his concerns, although he does have his lapses. The couple had their first child a year ago, Isset. Jan is a frantic parent. He never thought this miracle of having a family again would happen, and every time Isset hiccoughs, he wants to take her to Brainy.

Banin, Brek: Polar Boy left the Legion and now is involved in local politics on Tharr.

Blok: Was killed by Cosmic King and now serves as his own monument on Shanghalla.

Burroughs, Drake: Regained his humanity and teaches at the meta-human academy on Mars with the Taines.

Coal: Shield's and Ultra Boy's lover. He and Diamond obtained a large fortune and Coal manages it. Right now, he’s busy planning for the wedding between himself, Shield and Ultra Boy.

Chrysalis (no human personal name): No changes, except for the transformation documented in this novel.

Crystal (no last name): This Titanian telepath ran away from home and ended up as a prostitute on Rimbor. Using their connections, Sun Boy and Ultra Boy managed to obtain for her a visa to Earth. Val Armorr and Sensor Girl hired her as a governess for their children. Her end is chronicled in this novel.

Cusimano, GiGi: The chief of Science Police Earth and Colossal Boy's old friend. She was introduced in Superboy and the Legion #302. She's still the Chief.

Daggle, Reep: He's being very coy about his private life.

Dawnstar: Was recalled by her people and serves them, including having a child.

Devero, Waryn (aka Psychic Kid): See Saturn Girl’s entry for the basic information on how he met the Legion. After his break with Titangov, Waryn underwent a Naltorian process that dampened his telepathic powers and turned him into a psychometer, who receives telepathic information from objects.

Diamond: Has studied medical science and become part of the Legion’s in house med-team with Chrysalis and Mon-El. She and Mon-El have been romantically involved since he reconciled himself to his divorce from Shadow Lass.

Digby, Salu: Still heads the Earth division of the Intelligence-Counter Intelligence Corps.

Dox Querl: When faced with his indiscretions as a physicist and engineer, Brainiac Five quit the Legion and turned his genius solely to solving medical and biological problems. He is now the head of the metahuman/meta-powered xenorganism unit on Medicus One. (Note: In order to save a loved character from cancellation, KK Jr. and myself decided that Julian Bashir is his second in command. It’s not clear whether he is the guy from the ST universe, or just a dimensional copy.) He has had a contract marriage to Indra, but after he rejected her during a time when they both needed each other, he’s had to court her all over again.

Erin, Shvaughn: After the detective agency failed, Shvaughn went back to work with the Science Police. The laws she could not uphold were overturned by the Supreme Court and she was offered a Special Investigator position. She and her partner are close, close enough where he’s not willing to dispell the rumors that he’s the father of her child. Her choice to have a child by a powerful alien and not marry has caused her parents to stop communicating with her.

Foccart, Jacques: Jacques has reconciled with his sexuality and resumed his Legion activities. He's become involved with Davyd Nau'rami, AKA Nemesis. Right now, he’s quit the Legion in order to go with Nemesis to the Consortium of worlds and help Davyd destroy the biological warfare labs that were part of Davyd’s past, and his outcry against them was part of his heresy charges.

Force (Marcus Nostrum of Teannon): Force is incarcerated in a Teannon mental hospital. However, he does have a tendency to escape and make Shield's life miserable.

Gand, Lar: Lost Shadow Lass to her duties as Shadow Champion after her cousin was killed. After moping around Legion Headquarters for months, he struck up a friendship with fellow space explorer Diamond. This has become a romance that has succeeded for several years.

Gokuri-Hito: Was returned to Ananda Timmain.

Gremlin (Danielle Foccart of Agni, Earth): Is still a Legionnaire, but has been dating, much to the consternation of her older brother. She has found a wonderful potential mate and has asked (and gotten!) Jacques’s blessing to make love to her beau.

Indra (Tzondra Sahassavatta of Calcutta, Earth): Is still a Legionnaire and has been Brainiac 5's wife, although they’re just trying companionship now.

Kallor, Thom: After Atmos was put away for the rapist he was, Thom became planetary champion and married his childhood sweetheart.

Krinn, Daiono: Was given super-powers by the same witch who seduced Gim Allon. She can now tell people do what she wants and they obey. She went to school on Titan to learn how to control herself and her power. She is learning how to be a physical therapist, in the hopes of joining Dox’s medical team.

Krinn II, Hu: Was killed by a terrorist attack on Weber's World.

Krinn, Kim: Is the Asian Curator for the Weber's World museum. She’s currently pregnant with her and Rokk’s first child since Hu died, and the pregnancy is not developing normally.

Krinn, Pol: Pol Krinn wasn't killed, but transported to the 15th century Earth. His comrades found and recovered him. Since then, he's replaced his brother again as Lodestone. He moved to a low-tech world, got engaged to a local girl, and then was asked to leave. Since then, he and the woman have been trying to adjust to her culture shock, and his becoming Legion leader. She is now moving to the Southwest "artists’ community" and he’s hoping their relationship will survive the separation.

Krinn, Rokk: Left the Legion to become an ambassador after President Timmain asked him. After resolving the Braal-Earth crisis, he's served as ambassador at large for the United Planets. Or he was kidnapped, stripped of his memories and powers and tortured and is in a distant medical facility, refusing memory treatment, but is learning work skills in order to survive. There’s two of him now.

Londo, Brin: Is an active Legionnaire who still resides on Zoon with his wife. Recently he and Marella had a baby boy, Khemi.

Mallor, Tasmia: Returned to her duties as Shadow Champion after her cousin's death. Since then, she has divorced Mon-El, to keep one of the most powerful men in the galaxy from being corrupted by constant war. Unfortunately, to stop Talok VIII from destroying itself in Civil War, she’s allied herself with the Emerald Eye and several other unsavory characters to form a shadow-government. The Legionnaires are trying to find proof about her workings so that they can legally stop her.

Morgna, Dirk: Is "blessed" by being a favorite Legionnaire of KK Jr.'s and myself. Because of that, his parents are dead, his brother will always have difficulty with him and he's become involved with one of the most high-strung and beautiful woman in the universe, Nura Nal. Now Nura’s on the nurturing side of the equation, as Dirk is recovering from being captured and tortured by the new Persuader. The Persuader has a few good reasons to hate Dirk so much--for starters, he’s a vengeful ghost after Dirk killed him.

Morgna, Sean-Michael: Dirk's infant brother has been growing up in Todd Morgna's household along with his older niece and nephew.

Nah, Jo: Took a long time to get over Tinya Wazzo, but entered a three-way relationship with Coal and Shield. They're all very happy, if fact, they’re planning to marry each other.

Nal, Nura: After serving as the High Seer of her people, Nura walked off the job with Jeckie’s help, and signed on as an advisor to the President of Earth. Timmain considers her especially valuable, since she's one of the few seers who has adapted to seeing probable futures. Now she can be open about her relationship with Dirk.

Nemesis (Davyd Nau'rami, formerly of Owen's Worlds): Davyd is an augmentor and neutralizer who uses his powers to balance out the opposition. His heretical studies on Owen's World ignited Jacques Foccart's curiosity and soon the pair were sharing far more than just religious debate.

Nightmare: Is still trapped in the Soul-Stealer.

N'Orami, Areed: The neutralizer is an occasional friend and foe of the Legion. He served as a super-powered solider for a repressive regime until he defected and brought his wife, a non-human teleporter with him to Earth, and died in the novel.

Projectra, aka Sensor Girl: Serves as both Legionnaire and wife and mother.

Ranzz, Ayla: Retired from the legion for awhile, but her old discontentment led her back to the Legion. One of her old boyfriends from Winath joined her and heads a research team for Brainiac Five.

Ranzz, Garth: Happily living on Earth with wife, twin boys and the two spawn the Legion are raising as part of Tellus’s legacy, which the Legion named Kal and Clark.

Ranzz, Imra Ardeen: After suffering a psychic breakdown, she returned to Titan for retraining. She sponsored a young telepathic Science Police officer to replaced her as a telepathic Legionnaire. Then she discovered that she was an unwitting part of a Titangov eugenics program and several of her ova were collected. The young S.P. was actually her son. Since then, she’s continued to become friends with this adult child of hers and broke all ties with Titangov.

Shield (Ciryn McCall of Teannon): Is married to Coal and the couple are going to marry Ultra Boy soon. To her, life is good.

Dr. Running-Mare: A Starhavenite psychiatrist with empathic powers sold the Legion’s psych-files. She was imprisoned and replaced by a new psychiatrist.

Skyhunter aka Pathfinder: A wingless Starhavenite who can track in both space and on world. Since he’s a cripple to Starhaven culture, the Legion looks like a place where he can belong. Of course, he seems to be spending a lot of time looking for lost Legionnaires.

Succubus: Still "dead".

Taine, Charles and Luornu: Serve as the teachers of a super-powered academy for the United Planets.

Tellus' children: Clark and Kal have hatched and their the cutest little tadpoles ever to be raised by a bunch of Legionnaires.

Timmain, Ananda: Still the President of Earth.

Tao, Marella: Timber Wolf and his journalist girlfriend married and retired to Zoon so she could take a position as a news editor. She’s on maternity leave.

T’rami, Vianna: This telepath died in the Nightmare War.

Vapor and Strobe: Very little is known about these probationary Legionnaires, except that Vapor combines the talents of Colossal Boy, Shrinking Violet and Phantom Girl and that Strobe has a dimension-dislocating power that gives the effects of super-speed.

Wazzo, Tinya: Broke with the Legion and Ultra Boy at the same time. Later Tasmia Mallor enhanced Tinya’s powers and violent tendencies to make her a worthy member of the new Fatal Five.

The White Witch (Mysa Nal of Naltor): She's still a Legionnaire but on detached duty as she teaches sorcery at Metropolis Multiversity.

Xao, Jin (aka Dragonmage): Is a graduate of Mysa’s training. He is a geomancer who gains power from the feng shui, or power lines, of each world. In most cases, his power resembles a telekinesis that affects planetary materials.
